I’ve been going to The Baker since I moved to New Bedford in 2019. It’s one of my favorite places to pick up a treat for me and my husband. I’ve never had a bad experience there. All the staff are kind and some even know me by name (even when I’m wearing a mask)! I always look forward to seeing what they have because the staff and owner always create delicious food. It’s a shame that there are people who are so used to fast food turnaround that they can’t wait more than 15 minutes for food that is always made in-house and made to order. More for everyone else who has come to love and appreciate the hard work of the people who have built up this amazing European bakery then 🤷🏽♀️❤️ Also attaching photos of some of the goodies that we’ve had the chance to try and share with our loved ones who absolutely enjoyed each treat over the last couple of years. 🤤

I can’t recommend The Baker enough. Every single week I look forward to Wednesday - Sunday. I will find any excuse to end up there. The Avocado Toast? Best around. Breakfast sandwiches? I have never had one like theirs. Pastries? Perfection. The Chicken Pot Pie? Amazing. Don’t even get me started on the Honey Peach Mango Iced Tea 😍 Every time I have walked into The Baker I am greeted like I’m a long time friend - you don’t find customer service like that at many places, especially around here. They produce quality food every single time. I have never left there disappointed! I’m only disappointed when I didn’t buy extras 🤣 If you want quality, this is your go to. I’d rather wait 25 minutes for a quality egg sandwich made with love than get something thrown together at another establishment that is basically the same price and produces, well, not so great food. Don’t let The few bad reviews get to you! (Easier said than done, I know!) You know what you bring to the table, and some people just like to complain for the sake of complaining. Keep being perfect and I’ll see you tomorrow! 🤣

My biggest regret about going to The Baker was waiting so long to go to The Baker. Seriously, I received a gift card LAST YEAR and ( mostly a me problem of forgetting about it ) just used it a few months ago but since then have been hooked! We make a point to stop in at least 2 out of 4 weekends a month and literally not one thing we have tried has been bad. The staff are amazing and my wife has had multiple short convos with a few of them while ordering or picking up and they're always happy and seem to really love where they work. I'd literally stand outside Black Friday style to get their specials. Keep doing what you're doing.

Awesome food, and worth the wait when there is one. Great business and super friendly staff. Never had a bad experience and have been here dozens of times for breakfast, coffees, and lunch. Orders have always been correct as well as hot and fresh! Will continue supporting this local small business and appreciating the ways they have chosen to give back to our community, even beyond serving their delicious pastrys and sandwiches 😊

Best baked goods in America! Well worth the visit! The sour dough bread was amazing! You know it’s fresh because there are so many workers there during the day churning out fresh goods!

Everything is amazing here. We have never purchased anything we didn’t like. Today I decided to venture out a bit and get the California avo toast. It was the best thing I have eaten in a very long time. It hit all the notes. Highly recommend!

I have NEVER had a bad experience at The Baker. Their honey peach mango ice tea is delicious as are the breakfast sandwiches, pastries, lunch sandwiches and specialty donuts. The staff have always been pleasant (most people in society are when you are also pleasant). I love watching the team work so diligently in the front and back. There is never a dull moment because they take pride in their products. Getting greeting by Victor on the weekends is always a plus. Support local, be pleasant and life is good. Love The Baker!
