Make a reservation and enjoy. We were immediately greeted at the door and seated. Our waiter was great. He and another waiter checked on us often. A single candle was lighted to enhance the atmosphere as it was our anniversary. The food was very delicious. We shared an appetizer of gumbo. My wife had chicken with angel hair pasta and I had the grilled pork chop with mashed sweet potatoes and collard greens. Finally, we shared a serving of homemade white chocolate bread pudding with caramel pecan topping. Best bread pudding ever! The experience and service was outstanding and our best dinner meal during our visit. We will definitely return.

My wife and I splurged and had dinner at this lovely antebellum location. It's a bit like going back in time. Be sure to start with a cocktail in the bar. Ask for George. He's a wonderful waiter, quick on his feet, knowledgeable, and he has a delightful personality. Realize that you're going to pay a bit more than most places, but you're not just getting a meal: you're getting a timeless experience. My wife had the lamb lollipops and raved about them. My filet mignon was excellent. The warm pecan pie was decadent though it could have had less syrupy filling and more pecans - LOL! There is a slight mustiness in the bar, but consider it part of the cost to go back in time! I had a Manhattan served up and others in the bar were having the classic Mint Julep. Everyone seemed to be having a nice time.

Such an awesome restaurant. Wife had the ribeye and absolutely loved it. I had the duck and it was amazing. Dai was our server and he took great care of all our needs, nice to talk to as well. I highly recommend trying this one at least once if your in the area.

Just visited Restaurant 1818 over Thanksgiving weekend and loved it! Beautiful historic property is worth the visit alone, but we so enjoyed our delicious meal and friendly engaging service from George. We ordered fried green tomatoes, lamb chops, filet, bread pudding, and pecan pie and highly recommend every dish. Already planning our next visit!

My husband and I visited this restaurant tonight.. they were pretty slow to get to us, even with a reservation, which was pretty disappointing and we were considering just leaving until we looked around and realized how horribly understaffed they were. Idk if its bc of covid or what, but we only saw two ppl working. Thankfully, our reservation was a little later than normal and the tables around us started leaving, giving the 2 ppl that were working time to get to us. The food we had was INCREDIBLE. We are from Louisiana and kind of selective when it comes to fine dining and seasoning and this food was outdtanding. The flavor was fan-freaking-tastic. Nothing needed salt 🙌 and I find that to be rare in a restaurant. The flavor was perfect and thw sides were incredible. There was nothing to change. Our server was Chandra and she was wonderful and personable server and just so great! This was by far the best food we've had in Natchez! 👏👏👏👏
The only reason it got 5 stars was bc they were obviously understaffed.

The French 75, which is made with champagne, had no bubbles, which leads me to wonder what it was made with. My wife's broccolini was soft and very wilted, and Dai, the waiter, said that it was supposed to be that way, because it wasn't broccoli. Her fish was okay, but had a spoon of some pinkish concoction on top, which was unrecognizable. My steak was tough and fatty and the asparagus had no flavor. The owners are from New Orleans, as are we. They need to check out what is leaving the bar and kitchen more often.

The restaurant is beautiful as well as the property. Our appetizers and food were served cold. Quality of the food was ok. Desert was ok. A bit over priced but overall you pay for the experience.
