Food was awesome. Catfish was perfect. Alligator was just right, the sauce that came with it was spot on. Tomato relish was yum. Coleslaw was great too.
Excellent catfish! Tasted clean and cooked just right. The setup (beans, tomato relish, slaw, and hush puppies) was yummy, too. The hush puppies were so good I could take a bunch to go for later!
Unfortunately, the gumbo was not real gumbo. Red tomato-based soup with seafood. Eh
And the "homemade" coconut pie is NOT homemade. It was not good, either.
All in all, we will be back. Definitely want to try some other menu items.
Also...this is probably the cleanest restaurant I've seen in a long time. No dust on the ceiling fans, clean baseboards, carpet not stained, everything was just super clean in the dining room and bathrooms. I can only imagine they keep the kitchen just as clean. Kudos to management!
We are from Texas, we went here about a week ago. The three of us walked in and the lady was on the phone, she acknowledged us but then when she was done with her conversation, she just started typing on her own phone and stuff and so we waited in silence for another 30 seconds before
my dad had to ask “do we just seat ourselves?” She nodded and so we did. The first 100 seconds were a 1 star experience. Tell people that, or have a sign that says “seat yourselves”. 😕
After seating ourselves our waitress was with us shortly, and the food was excellent, and was brought to us in a timely manner.
It was a bit pricy but it was great. Other than those first 100 seconds, everything was a 5 star experience, but with 5 star pricing as well. (Not really; $35 per person)

Very sweet staff. Clean restaurant. Food was good. Small town with big heart. Defiantly recommend this place to eat if your over this way.
Had the shrimp for lunch very good large portions great value. Very good service wished we lived closer
Enjoyed our anniversary at the restaurant today. Had great service and very good catfish!!! Will be a regular customer from now on. 👍
