I dined at the Southern V for the first time yesterday, and ordered the fried chicken plate with green beans and whipped sweet potatoes. My friend ordered the chicken fried chicken with turnip greens and mac & cheese. We were able to try each other’s food, and had no trouble clearing our plates. Next time I’m there, I’m going to order a veggie plate. The vegetables were just that great, but that’s not to disparage the “chicken” at all. It was deliciously filling, and I have to say I felt good all afternoon. Thanks for a good vegan experience!
I cannot recommend this place enough if you are vegan. (Or even if you’re not...) The biscuits are some of the best I have ever had, period. Their food is absolutely worth standing in line in the cold for.
Wow! Amazing food and very friendly service. We loved the chikn and waffles. The waffle is very large and the chikn was seasoned perfectly. We also loved the Chikn Bakon Ranch sandwich, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, vegan or non vegan. Got the sandwich Nashville hot and it was spicy but perfect. The baked beans were so good and sweetened just right. They don’t have hot coffee but we asked and they made it for us anyways, so nice. Highly recommended this place if your craving great southern food with the Southern hospitality. Indoor seating for 50 people, many people had preordered for pickup. Best meal we had in Nashville, it’s worth the drive to the north end.
Delicious! Never had better vegan fried chicken. Smoothie was the bomb, cornbread hit the spot and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich turned up the heat in the best of ways. Highly recommend!!
The sweet heat sandwich was on the best things I’ve ever eaten. We ordered a little bit of everything off the menu and I wish we got more. Very peaceful welcoming place. 100000000 stars
We had a great experience today. Super delicious food. The hot "chicken" was the perfect spice level! The mac and cheese tasted like the real deal. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was great- hot but not excessively so. The collard greens were the best I've had. The rubber crispy treat was incredible. I saw a few people with chicken & waffles and they looked amazing. I'll get that next time. You order with a computer, pick up, and bus your own table so I can't comment on the service, but everyone was friendly. Easy parking. You do have to pay for water though, that's a big minus for me. Still I will come back for the food every time I'm in Nashville.

We both had the turnip greens (yum!), I had the the Nashville hot chik'n, and she had the "meat"loaf. They both tasted amazing! And yes, I ate sone of her meatloaf 🤣
The people who run the restaurant were friendly and sweet, and the atmosphere was wonderful.
If you are in the mood for some good plant-based southern food, then you should definitely eat here. In fact, if you're just in the mood for some good southern food, you should eat here.

Ah-mazing food, mouth is watering right now thinking about the sweet and spicy sandwich. A little pricey but you get what you pay for, the service was also great. If dining in would recommend bringing a jacket!
The Nashville Hot Chicken has a really nice kick, super yummy. The Jackfruit Sandwich was also a very nice mix of warm and cool. So worth it, especially if you are vegan/vegetarian.
I found this place while searching for a vegetarian restaurant in downtown Nashville. It's a couple of miles from downtown but worth the drive.
I got the "chicken" strips with BBQ, mac and cheese and a cookie, all excellent.
So nice to find a place that offers vegetarians more than fries or a side salad!
Very clean, modern and comfortable atmosphere.
One note: It's cashless and you order from touchscreens at the counter. Very easy, but may be intimidating to anyone not familiar with that arrangement.
