Great Poki place! It is a little on the pricey side for the large bowl, however you get a lot of food and it’s all fresh and tasty! My wife got the samurai style and I built my own bowl. Both were delicious! I love getting fresh bean sprouts in my Poki bowl and the sauces at Kawai are so good! The sweet chili sauce is my fave!
It’s super clean, I love the decor, and the staff was super friendly and helpful guiding us through ALL the options.
I would definitely eat here again next time I’m in the neighborhood and craving something fresh!

This place was amazing. The poke was delicious. I first ate poke in Washington and I’ve tried so many different places since then and never quite found a place that comes close to FOB’s poke. But this place did! The meat was fresh and the Tangy Ponzu sauce was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful and the place was very clean.

The best Poké around Nashville, if you like big portions of that delicious raw salmon or tuna, this is the place, poke is never cheap, but! I think this place is worth it. The portions are really well served and the flavor is really good. If you like Poké you should come here at least once. Really worth the trip to East nashville.

Finally checked out this place. The salmon was very good. However, overall the bowl did not have a lot of flavor. I had to drench it in extra sauce. It was good but probably will not be back anytime soon. Super cute place though!

Good, fresh options. Very customizable. Staff have all been friendly and helpful. The space has a lot of echo, so it easily gets very loud, but overall, it's nice. I've eaten in once and gotten take-out a couple of times. It's a favorite among my coworkers.

This was my first Poke experience. Thanks to the staff, it was a phenomenal! There was an small issue with my order (completely caused by me). The staff didn’t hesitate or balk at re-making the order to my liking. It was so very generous of them. The bowl was simply fantastic. I will be back for the people AND THE BOWL!

I have been going to Kawai Poké since I moved to East Nashville. This place is always consistently delicious!!! Fish is always nice and fresh Kudos to the chef who does his research on where to get it. The best thing is I always get greeted by name which is cool! Please give them a try oh and get the Seaweed Salad!!

Best hidden gem in East Nashville! They even have hard to find Asian candy like a variety of Pocky. Very authentic. A little pricey, but WORTH IT!

Kawai has for years, since it first opened, been the best poke in Davidson county. Occasionally, I'll try some new places that open up around town, but this place has the best fish, best toppings, and best "build."

Best Poké in Nashville, hands down. Only open for lunch, and sometimes closes when supposed to be open because they’ve either sold out of fish or didn’t get a fresh shipment in. When you realize why that is, it makes you appreciate the limited times they’re open during the week! Follow them on instagram to keep up with their hours because they don’t answer the phone.

Absolutely love this place, it's incredible having healthier options in East Nashville and the flavors here are spot on. They keep the menu simple, but the premade options are all delicious. Super friendly staff too!
Free parking at the Basement East next door, super easy to swing by and grab a couple bowls to-go on my way home from work. Hope this place sticks around for a long time!

Very tasty poke! Friendly staff. Was super clean inside. I love the variety of options you can choose from or build your own to your little heart's desire. Plenty of tables to eat inside. First hour free in the spacious parking lot next door.

I was spending a day going to new places, & trying things I’ve never tried. Kawai Poké was my choice for lunch. It was a departure from my usual fare, for sure, but delightful! The staff was patient & very helpful, & the restaurant was very clean & bright. The food was delicious & filling. I will be back!
