Amazing food, and a good, authentic mexican food. Their salsa and queso is amazing, and I have gone too many times to count. (literally) (I can't count)(jk) REALLY good, and service was top notch.
Seated very quickly even with lunch hour rush. Best Sangria I've ever had. The lunch specials are perfect for portion size and extremely good. I definitely want to come back and explore more of the menu.
The chicken soup is awesome!!! The helpings are more than generous and the atmosphere makes is great. Parking is a nightmare though because it is right next to green hills mall.
Always a good meal. We have gone to El Palenque over 30 times and have always had fresh, great tasting food! Drinks are well served as well. A local favorite......

One of the few decent dining options in Green Hills that is not a chain. EP has been open for many years and is consistent in its menu and flavor. It is small and can get crowded during peak lunch and dinner times, but most times one can grab a booth and get down to business. I like the host of lunch and dinner options available through number and varied food selections. However, the standard fajita, enchilada and taco options can stand alone. The prices are a bit high in relation to other Mexican establishments and the food is no better than many of these. The service is always lackluster but the kitchen churns meals out in a timely fashion. These issues should not deter one from trying the food, which is tasty, and in this part of town, there are no other options for Mexican fare.
Seat yourself restaurant with, in my opinion, speedy service from the waiter. I ordered the Chile Verde which I thought was exceptional. Food was cooked well and was served in a timely manner. Prices were not bad at all! Lunch menu is affordable. They do bring out chips and salsa for you to munch on while you are waiting for your apps and entrees to arrive. I thought the use of Corona bottles as salt and pepper shakers was super adorable and resourceful. If I am ever back in Nashville, I will absolutely head this way.
This Mexican restaurant is one of the most hidden treasures in Green Hills. A perennial, long term location admist the every burgeoning commercialization of the old neighborhood.
Salsa, chunky guacamole, shrimp quesadilla and fish tacos were all amazing. And our server Teresa was incredibly kind and pleasant.

Kind, quick, attentive service and delicious food. This is a convenient location. While eating at the restaurant has always been terrific, take-away has not been. The food is good, but the take away orders may be a different item than what was ordered. Also, ordering is still done over the phone, so there's no way to confirm the order as there is online.

My family and I visited for my birthday lunch today and was very happy with the experience. The server was very friendly and made sure our party was well taken care of. The entire family ordered something different and there was no problems or complaints at all. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. I had the mixed fajitas and it was honestly the best I've had. I rarely travel to Nashville but the next time I do, I'll be sure to stop by.
