Would go back for the red curry and the staff.
I have pretty high expectations with Thai food, so I’m glad to say I was impressed with the red curry itself. The veggies were underwhelming as there were what seemed to be frozen peas and carrots as opposed to something more like lotus root and mini eggplant. The steamed dumplings were too salty for me and the papaya salad with shrimp doesn’t look fresh so I didn’t try it yet.
That said, 4 stars for a curry I’d go back for if I’m in the area and the staff was extremely nice. A server took 6 spring rolls home for himself, so I’d probably try those next time.
To put things into perspective, I have pretty much eaten at Lemongrass at least once a week for the past 4 years. Lemongrass in Whitebridge has the best green curry/red curry I have eaten ever, and I have tried many. It's so good up to the point that I have been able to convert others into Lemongrass red/green curry fanatics. I would continue to eat here for the rest of my life. The other dishes are 7.5/10.
Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming (shout-out to Mike). The bathrooms are modern and well-kept but its a little tight getting to them.
Insider secret: the Lemongrass in Whitebridge is the place to go to for the curry while the Lemongrass in Bellevue is the place to go for sushi.
We just yelped and went to this place as this was the only one open until 10pm in our place. The place doesn’t look like well decorated but they tried to keep it simple. Ambiance was simple and not fancy, May be they are in process of redecorating or new management may be. But coming to the main topic - the fooood.
The food was damn delicious and we haven’t expected to have such huge quantities of food. They gave us delicious food even at the late hour and the whole gang totally enjoyed it. The soup we ordered might need some thick cocunut milk base but other than that we enjoyed our dishes. We ordered appetizer combo and enjoyed them. Chicken satay was good, chicken dumplings were amazing and the spring rolls were spot on.
Coming to the entrees we ordered some pretty different dishes and ratings would go as below:
Drunken noodles - 4.5/5
Pad Thai - 5/5
Red curry - 3.5/5
Green curry - 4.5/5
Fried rice - 4/5
Lemon grass fried rice - 5/5
Sticky mango rice - 4/5
Overall we had some good food. Don’t fear to go with spicy level at 4 or 5.
This place was fantastic! The food was delicious and my Pad See Ew with Chicken and Shrimp was enough for two. I asked them to prepare my dinner with no hot spice and they did. My date had Chicken Curry and loved it. The Thai Iced Coffee was excellent. We were so stuffed we didn't have room for desert. Service was outstanding! Prices were very reasonable. Without question Lemongrass Thai is in the must return list.
My favorite Thai curries in Nashville! Other items on the menu are good as well, but some of their competitors do them better. However, when it comes to curries this place makes the best. I have eaten here numerous times and have tried much of the menu, and I'm never disappointed by the taste or price.
yum yum yum. This place has the best food ever! I always get the same thing: thai iced tea, cup of Tom kha soup, and beef fried rice. It never disappoints. I would say I go here at least once a month, and it is such a sweet place. It is not a touristy place however, it's almost always locals. That's something that's hard to find nowadays in Nashville, but this place keeps its locality and family feel. I love Lemongrass Thai!
Traditional Thai food plus some Japanese and Chinese dishes all in one place. Tom yum soup was delicious. Mango sticky rice is a must try for dessert.
After coming back from an extremely long day of travel, Lemongrass Thai really hit the spot. Their service and hospitality was impeccable. I was seated immediately, ordered my food, and served my dishes in record time. I may have been ravished but my experience was quick and efficient and I left within 30minutes. They food is delicious and the space was clean. Can’t wait to try a few more dishes next time.
It's a low key Thai restaurant that serves great food that is just simple and pleasant at a great price. The atmosphere is simple and without relationship to the very delicious Thai creations. For around $8 a plate max you will be happy and so will your wallet. They can however expand the menu as I do feel it to be a little dated and limited. But the food comes quickly.
I work across the street, so I frequently order lunch take out from Lemongrass Thai. The food is delicious, and it’s always ready very quickly.
