Love this Shoney’s by the Nashville airport. I have visited this location for lunch buffet on several occasions but never had the chance to try breakfast buffet. Today is my day off so I decided to give it a try. 🙂
Came in about hour after opening.
Place was welcoming and mellow atmosphere was something you don’t usually see as most places have that rush/stress feel.
House was about 80% full.
All food was delicious and fresh. French toast sticks and blueberry muffins extra delicious.
Had ice tea (half and half) and it also tasted very fresh, every time my glass was half way I was asked if I care for another one.
Overall I must say, I’m coming back.

Nashville Airport area, TN. I’d come back just for Charles, our server. Nicest guy you’d ever meet, hustling to keep everything going, getting after the cook to get my egg white omelet out chop chop (do not order an egg white veggie omelet here, they’re too busy and there was too much oil in my veggies). I said, “I bet people come here just for you!” and he said, “Yeah, I expect that’s true. I been here 13 years.” He knew and warmly greeted a ton of customers. Well, he greeted everyone warmly. The rest of the staff were nice, too.
The buffet included a few lunch items, too, like salad fixings and chicken my husband said ($13.99). It was a larger buffet than I remembered. The place was more modern and cheery than I remembered.
Booths had worn seats. They’re using those handheld machines to order and pay on, those are a pain for servers to use because they malfunction often.

Hadn't been to Shoney's in years. Everything was upgraded and updated. We were pleasantly surprised by the low prices. Great value!

Nice spot to grab some food .....the breakfast buffet was ok ...kinda pricey but you have enough options......ill probably just order from the menu next time I go ! I'll definitely be back maybe for lunch. Staff was very nice the place was clean 👌

Amanda at the bar was amazing. Great suggestions, service and smile was on point. It was our first time and she made it not only memorable but made us sire to come back!!

So the food was ok but just seemed to be thrown together. Our server was obviously overwhelmed with too many tables but she managed well. My biggest complaint was that there was a sign on the wall about the register that said cashless pay only but when they feared a power outage, they managed to come around and ask us to pay ahead and then accepted cash, so I was a little confused on that bit all in all a decent spot.

Very clean location, visited during lunch time. Great service. Hubby & I had to get the hot fudge cake for memories. It tasted just as I remember, lol.

Shoney's has become a Thanksgiving tradition for us. At times the line at the buffet is slow and long. The food is just what you'd expect at a buffet. They were good at keeping up with refreshing pans as they got empty. Our server was good at getting our drink order when we sat down. After that we had to wave her down to get refills. Since they are card only, when we were done she brought over the credit card machine to our table. She said she preset it at 20% tip, but we could change it to 18%. I rely wanted to say how rude it was to say that to her. I wish I had the sense to tell her that and give her the tip ahe deserved, about 10%.

Had breakfast buffet there two days we were in Nashville. Plenty to eat, food was good. Both times the servers were pleasant and friendly. One thing to remember, this restaurant does not take cash, it is card only.

Fresh to cook all American Cheese burger 🍔 Soo good with fries...could ask for better burger...The hot fudge cake just melted in my mouth mmmm 😊 good...

It was extremely busy. Yet we still received attentive service. I was shocked to see they had a bar.
The server was very friendly. Food wasn't as good as I remember it being back in the day but it was still good. Reasonably priced. Clean restaurant
