My wife and I had a nice dinner date here. The food was absolutely fantastic, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere and decor was great. My only complaint would have been the noise; they could probably take out a few tables to give people more room and privacy.
MAKE SURE to make a reservation if you're planning on eating here during peak hours.
Lyra offers one of the finest dining experiences in Nashville, truly worth the investment. The shared food setting allows for a patiently paced meal. Their bread, with a delightful texture, stands out—especially in its stuffed form, the Fatayer. The cabbage fattoush, crowned with fried bread, is excellent. The seared octopus and the sumac fried chicken are highlights; the latter, while juicy, could enhance the sumac flavor. With great drinks and an overall fantastic experience, Lyra is a place we'll undoubtedly revisit.
Lyra is a must do! Service is always exceptional, food is 10/10 and their happy hour is spot on. I love bringing out of town folks here because most have not had quality middle eastern cuisine, and Lyra is the best of the best. Perfect for a date night or small get together for a chill evening. Always a pleasure dining with Lyra! (:
I visited Lyra the day before thanksgiving with 2 friends. None of us have tried middle eastern food prior so we went with an open mind.
Our server was fantastic. We picked the scallop and lamb sausage dish and let her fill in the rest of the food.
She served us multiple courses that essentially turned into a tasting menu.
The hummus with lamb was paired with the baba ganoush. Collectively, we all liked the hummus and pita better than the baba ganoush.
After that my memory gets a little foggy to the name of the other dishes. The roasted cauliflower was the table hit (we are mostly simple eaters) with the squash filled with greens coming in right behind it.
The waitress was the real hit more than the actual food. She was very knowledgeable about the dishes, and did a good job piecing everything together for us.
There was a dish that was kind of fun. You had to crack the top with a spoon to reveal a salad inside.
The scallops were a little undercooked when first brought to the table but seemed to continue to cook through as they sat for a few minutes.
They were definitely made to go with the sauce at the bottom of the dish. On their own they were okay, but I really enjoyed the combination of the sauce mixed together so make sure to mix the dish up and sauce them.
I enjoyed my mocktail, but I noticed it seemed a little salty. Other places I’ve been have made much better mocktails. If you aren’t expecting something great, you will likely enjoy what they create. 3/5 on the drinks.
I enjoyed it more than my friends, but I think this was a one time stop for me but we all enjoyed the experience.
If you are a traditionally really healthy eater I think you will enjoy this more than the “meat and potatoes” crowd.
Really nice place, great service but specially great food! The hummus is a must to start but their chicken was really good, the chocolate cake to me was amazing, not sweet like the typical American dessert really rich in flavor
Super impressed and absolutely delicious and worth the $$$$$. Hannah and Grace were the best! I came with a vegan and I am gluten /dairy free and we were both super impressed with our meal!!! The lamb merguez was to die for with the hummus! Will definitely come again! Falafel isn’t on the menu but ask for it and it’s gluten free!
Such a great fine dining experience. I went there with family but I think it’s a great place to be with either friends or family…. I think it would be a great place to go on a date as well.
I absolutely loved the hummus dip and the feta dip. The fried halloumi was amazing as well. I would say these were my top 3 favorites.
The orange almond cake and pistachio icecream was delicious. The sesame tahini cookies in the icecream sandwich gave it a very unique taste.
I am a vegetarian so I cannot say much about the meat options. The beet salad was a little different than what I expected. I was expecting to taste a mixture of ingredients as compared to individual ingredients so it was a little off putting but the rest of the dishes definitely made up for it.
They have a great wine collection and an amazing cocktail menu as well. Overall loved the place and the ambience and would definitely recommend this place and go back in the future.
I recently visted Lyra Nashville with my family in-law and we had a wonderful experience! Lots of amazing dishes to satisfy everyone (vegetarians and non-vegetarians were equally happy with the selection!). The food was absolutely amazing, the service was good and quick, and the atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend making a reservation though, especially during prime hours.
Parking was easy enough to find - they have a small parking lot, but there is also street parking available. We'll be returning, for sure! :)
I am so mad at myself for not going here earlier! Seriously.
Tip: they stay busy, so make a reservation. We got there at 5pm and were only able to snag a seat at the bar, which filled up in a matter of minutes.
The space is beautiful. It's perfectly curated to exude warmth and light. Whoever made the decor choices (like right down to the planters) gets three cheers from me.
I have surgery tomorrow, so I can't have dairy today. I generally eat all the dairy. I was so thankful they marked up a menu for me and were very knowledgeable about what's in the food.
Knowledgeable and happy. Everyone seemed kind, attentive, and happy. But I guess it's easy to be happy when the product you serve is amazing!
We started with a happy hour special: za'atar french fries. They subbed the ghee for some other oil for me. Those fries were DELICIOUS. And I bet they were even more amazing with ghee.
Then we got the hummus collective, which they put 2 items on the side due to ghee. That hummus was amazing! It was so flavorful and creamy even without the toppings. Both my dining companion and I are kind of mad we've never had apples in hummus, too. How did I not know it's so delicious? ...at least we're pretty sure they were apples. 🤣
Next up was the lamb kefta, which was so good. The lamb meatballs were perfectly cooked! They were moist even without the delicious sauce, but the combination was excellent. Every flavor on point.
We really didn't think it could get any better, and then the flat iron steak arrived. I've never thought of putting apricots and pearl onions and steak together, and I'd never had black tahina before, but I want more of it. The perfect bite has all 4 elements together. Perfect harmony, ridiculously happy mouth.
The tea my friend got was even so good that she talked me into getting one in a takeaway cup, and I'm glad she did! Spiced and delicious (I get it unsweet).
Thank you so much for an absolutely wonderful meal!
Lyra was an amazing experience, now sitting at the very top of our favorite restaurants.
We have a monthly “Food Club” with some friends and we love mezza/tapas style menu be able to really get a feel for the restaurants cuisine.
We ordered almost every item on the menu - skipping only 3 in total (only because of an allergy).
The Hummus collection was the star of the starters- even our onion hater in the group loved the candied onions.
The eggplant changed our lukewarm eggplant eater into an fan.
The Lamb, Steak, and mushroom dish were standouts.
The only dish that we didn’t enjoy was the shrimp- the char was great, the cabbage and olives were a little eh.
You can tell from our photos everyone loved the desserts and cocktails as well.
Lyra is a must in Nashville!
