When deciding where to go tonight, I sent a list of restaurants that I hadn't been to yet to my friend. She picked this place, and I am so glad she did.
We pulled up to a small joint that looked like it had been there for a while. We were quite early for dinner, arriving around 5:00, so the fact that we were one of two tables when we walked in was not a surprise. While dining, we did find is that most everyone orders for takeaway. Lots and lots of people came in to pick up orders, including third party delivery services.
You order at the counter, and the person who took our order was incredibly helpful and let us know what to expect.
I was very excited to see that they offer multiple gluten-free items. I do not know about their cooking practices, as I didn't ask. Many of you know that I have a problem digesting barley specifically, so cross-contamination is generally done an issue for me unless it is beer. Real pizza dough is also generally safe for me, but I do try to eat more gluten-free than not.
We ordered gluten-free cheese bread, a gluten-free spinach pizza, and a regular meatball pizza. I did try all of these things and everything was delicious. The gluten-free crust is thin, of course, and I believe that I would order it well done next time. The texture wasn't odd or anything, but I do prefer my thin crust to be more crispy, where this one was more chewy. The crust on the cheese sticks and the gluten-free pizza were the same. The cheese sticks were just incredibly amazing. It was the perfect chewy and slightly (but wonderfully) greasy cheese bread. The marinara that came with it was also just delicious. The spinach pizza on gluten-free crust was good, but I would, as stated, order it well done next time and probably with extra sauce. The pesto on it was a little thin and got a little lost. The regular crust meatball pizza was delicious (insert well done comment here, too).
I know I keep saying that I would order something well done, but please do not take that as the pizza is undercooked or not delicious the way they prepare it. I'm just occasionally weird about my pizza crust.
The main question: will we be back? Absolutely! She will probably tell her friends, and I will tell my friends. I will probably bring my partner the next time we feel like taking a drive to Nashville. You should definitely give them a try as well!
Thanks for a wonderful evening, Italia P&P!
Gluten Free Pizza and Gluten Free Cheese Bread was delicious!!! Gluten Free Pizzas are available in Small, Medium, & Large. There's even a Gluten Free Chocolate Cake option for dessert that we didn't try. Pocket Friendly Prices for Gluten Free Pizza. Friendly People. Short waiting time. Cute little place to visit.
Truly yummy!! I ordered a small gluten free pizza and made it vegan with a bunch of vegetable toppings and no cheese (they do offer vegan cheese though!). We ordered our pizzas through Yelp and everything was ready to go by the time we picked it up on a super snowy cold day. The employee at the front was extremely helpful and made sure we had everything correct with our order. I will for sure be eating here again! They have an entire gluten free menu and vegan options, which is extremely hard to come by for pizza restaurant. Super cute and cozy place too!
We were tired of BBQ and chain restaurants and pizza was on our mind. My daughter, wife and I headed to Italia Pizza and Pasta on a bit of a whim. It was nice to get away from the downtown area, the pace felt a little slower in the peaceful pizzeria. My wife ordered the gluten free pizza, she said that it was the best she has ever had. My daughter and I got a veggie (with pepperoni on my half) and finished dinner with a couple cannolis. My wife was crazy for the gluten-free chocolate cake. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Most likely our favorite dining experience in our three days in Nashville.
Such an incredible place. Amazing pizza (gluten and dairy free) plus you can make your own or order some really nice specialtie pies. Most things are gluten sensitive AND can be made vegan (cheese, and most things are already). Great prices for the home- made quality, excellent service and attitude...feels like home. Absolutely recommend!
Great pizza, the crust was by far my favorite part. It was just a little crispy on the bottom but still a little soft on top, perfectly cooked. Good amount of toppings as well. Only issue was that it was cool when it arrived, but that’s probably more Grubhub’s fault and not the restaurant. Definitely recommend!
This place is absolutely fabulous!!! It's a quaint little place in East Nashville. They have a chalkboard menu with a panel dedicated to Gluten Free. The pizza crust was wonderful! It's locally made not shipped in frozen. We also had the Gluten Free Ravioli. Which was also so tasty! The staff was so nice and informative.
Pizza was great and staff was very friendly! Very nice environment as well!
Delicious gluten free and vegan pizza. They even had gluten free + vegan cheese bread. My husband had a gluten full and diary full calzone that was also great. Very friendly and fast service.
This was the BEST dang pizza I've had in 6 years, since I went gluten/dairy free. 20/10, would recommend
