Review Vn Pho & Deli - Nashville

Thy Vo
We got to Nashville and was hungry for some Vietnamese food, found this gem of a restaurant. The pho came out piping hot and the herbs side dish was super fresh! I've eaten pho all over the globe and was not expecting this level yummy in Tennessee of all places. The crunchy noodles came out crisp. It's a small and cozy restaurant, parking can be a bit of a battle but the food is worth the struggle. All dishes are made to order and given special attention. No beer or wine, people come here for the food. The fish sauce dipping sauce has a good balance of sweet and spice. They offer a variety of seasonings at the table so you can customize your dish to exact taste preference.

After visiting for the first time last night, we’re already planning our next visit to try more items on the menu. We started by splitting the shrimp egg rolls which came with the perfect amount to share between 2 people. Our mains - the fried tofu vermicelli bowl and bo kho were both flavorful and delicious. The Vietnamese iced coffee was some of the best we’ve had - we only wish the serving was a bit bigger. The menu has so many amazing sounding choices so we will definitely be back to sample more!

It is my first time here. I normally don’t really like the vermicelli noodle but decided to try after seeing a lot of good reviews about it. Their vermicelli noodle with pork and egg roll is out of the world. Never have this one this delicious before. Highly recommend. It is very important to note that this is a CASH-ONLY restaurant so make sure bring cash. I was a bit skeptical when entering the area where the restaurant is located but so far I had no issue with anything. The restaurant itself is clean and organized. The staffs are very energetic and friendly. Will definitely come back again.

Best pho hands down ! Been to all the pho places in Memphis and in my area and this place is the best ! Do not skip out on the avocado smoothie. Definitely sounds weird but once you drink it , very refreshing and surprisingly good! Will always come here when visiting Nashville. It is family owned (majority family works there) and they were all attentive and productive.

The food was hot and fresh and it was well seasoned, really to perfection! The wait staff were friendly and we were told to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant is small but there was ample seating. The decor is simple and the fish tank is a nice touch. Our orders were place and the service was quick and the portion sizes are large. Take a big appetite or you're bound to leave with take out containers.

This is a family owned, family run, and family cooked delicious restaurant! Great food, great staff, and portions that will fill you up without draining your wallet... not remember to bring cash as they don't take credit cards. There is an ATM on site if you forget cash.

Family owned business with some of the best Vietnamese food along with friendly service! In addition, they have fresh baked pastries for those with a sweet tooth. Cash only and sometimes there is a little bit of a wait because that’s how good they are. One of our favorite places to get pho!

Stopped in late Sunday evening, and they were out of all the soups which was a bit counter-intuitive since we had planned to eat pho there, but we order the noodle bowls and they were delicious! Get there early in evening to avoid the dinner rush, or call ahead for take out since there is minimal seating and a hot location!

Really enjoyed dining here. The pho was delicious and the avocado smoothie was refreshing. Also, love that its family owned. The service was great! Our server was friendly and attentive. I had the fried tofu pho and my husband had the beef. Full of flavor and overall a great establishment. Will return EVERY TIME we come to Nashville!

This place is the best Vietnamese Pho place in town . Period Generous quantity and portion size , super helpful staff and delicious food . We got the pancakes filled with shrimp and pork and the chicken curry . Both were so amazing . And the thai tea was legit , no artificial sugars or any sweeteners etc Highly recommended!! Make sure you take your cash with you though if you do not want a surcharge from the atm inside. Cash only place

Very kind staff and delicious pho with meatballs, pho with steak, Thai tea, and spring rolls with shredded pork. An out of town visit and this was one of our best meals.

Best pho and bahn mi in town! Hot, fresh and flavorful. Baguettes are fluffy and fresh from the oven. Great low price but uncompromising flavor and quality.

My fave place for pho, Bahn mi, Summer rolls, and many other noodle dishes. Great prices and bring cash. No cc accepted.

Awesome authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Food is great and typical vietnamese resto ambience. Definitely worth the drive. And yes price is awesome.

Excellent food! Good service. Could be slightly quicker, but the food and tea was so great that I didn't mind as much

This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurant in Nashville. It is CASH only...:)Try order number 12. It is my favorite on their menu.

Very reasonably priced Vietnamese food and generous portions. I definitely recommend the Chicken Pho or Rice Vermicelli! Disclaimer:cash only.

Love this place.. I'm a recent convert to Vietnamese food and can't get enough of broken rice right now. This is one of the few Vietnamese places in Nashville that have it on the menu, and at very reasonable prices. I've also had the shaking beef, which is amazing, and a bahn mi (super affordable and the pork is so good!).

That said, maybe my favorite thing on the menu is the limeade. Seriously, seriously good.

It's small, so you do have to time it right to get a table right away, but the wait is worth it. The cash only policy is a bit annoying, considering even food trucks have swipe capability these days, but I'm willing to make a special trip to the ATM just to eat here. Very friendly staff and just an all around good experience.

The best Vietnamese food!. VN has consistantly had the best food of the 20 or more Vietnamese restaurants I have tried around the US. Their shrimp are always jumbo and very fresh. The shrimp spring rolls and dipping sauce are perfect. The pho broth is seasoned delicately but with a good flavor. Wait staff is excellent and will customize dishes to your preferences. Not visible from Charlotte in a little strip mall but better than others in the neighborhood and worth finding. Almost across the street from Miss Saigon.

Wow! Sooo good! Everything was cooked and seasoned just right. Loved it, we'll be back!

Best Pho in town. No contest. A must try. We get it weekly.

Fantastic Pho and Bahn Mi. (24) I hear the pancakes (22) are fantastic as well but we will try those next visit.

A Must Try. Yes, you can get Pho here and numerous places on Charlotte Ave. But what's special here are: #23/24 Vietnamese sandwiches with cilantro, serrano peppers on 4" French rolls for $3!!; #2 Goi Cuon - shrimp and spring rolls - fresh and crisp - 2 for $2.50; #19 Mi Xao Don Thap Cam-crispy egg noodles topped with seafood.
Family run. NO CREDIT CARDS; NO Beer/wine, but may be able to bring. Open 11-9 except Tuesdays.

Good Vietnamese foods. Finally, Nashville had a decent vietnamese foods place to go to. Small place, sometimes orders can be a little long. That's needed to be improved. But overall, the best Bun Bo Hue, Bun Mang Vit in a sad Nashville :)

VN Pho and Deli is an unassuming little restaurant tucked away in a nondescript set of stores on Charlotte Pike. And that appears to be exactly what the Luu-Nguyn family is looking for. The big Vietnamese joints are just across the street. VN Pho is going for a homier approach.

The fresh spring rolls come with a homemade peanut, coconut, hoisin dipping sauce which is delightful. The bun (rice noodles) #12 is my favorite. It is rice noodles over lettuce, and topped with pickled root veggies (carrot and daikon), egg roll and char-grilled (char siu) pork. The pork is marinated with a house made marinade, which I cannot decipher specifically. Most other restaurants in town who serve a char siu style pork, use a pre-packaged red flavor packet (fake chemical flavoring) to make marinate and make the pork. Not at VN, VN makes their own marinade, and makes the best char siu pork in this town (IMHO).
