Nashville's bar and restaurant scene is always a fun experience, but finding new local places to try is even better. Eastland Cafe was next our list, and they defintely did not dissapoint! First of all, it is so very important to me that restaurants take the covid precautionary actions, and the staff absolutely followed the guidelines at all times. Better yet, the vibe that you get when you first come in is very welcoming, laid back, yet fits the cocktail hour scene. The food was absolutely delicious. Seriously, do yourself a favor and try their porkchop and charcuterie. The impressive plating presentation made our dining experience that much better. Our bartender (shout out to Evan!) was fantastic and attentive while still taking the time to welcome everyone who came into the Cafe, whether it be a friendly regular or a newcomer asking about their Happy Hour specials. Last but not least, the patio outside is beautiful, and I can't wait to to go back and try the new local beers they now have on tap!

In town for the RocknRoll Marathon and looking to get away from the overcrowded hotel restaurants and to the local spots, we landed on Eastland Cafe.
The waitress was pro, and allowed us time to casually work our way through the dinner menu without rushing us. Prices were very reasonable and portions were perfect. I would come back here in a heartbeat next time I'm in Nashville. Kudos!

Valentines 2020 menu was amazing! Whatever they did to make beet soup that good I just hope its legal. Helpful staff, noticeably prepared and ready for all the reservations they took. I was able to comforably wait at the bar when my date got delayed.

Ok, I started out with a 4 star rating but really its a neighborhood 5 star. Its not as complex as their main competition down the street, but what they produce in house is really good.
With any of these places there are high and low spots.
The cheese plate is a prime example. Its why they got a 5 but also why they almost got a 4.
The great, homemade bread and butter pickled endive....how creative and sooo good.
Also the gingered orange marmalade, perfect with the blue cheese on a green apple slice.
And the apple butter wasn't far behind.
But, alas, there was the fried brie. Its a nice idea but the batter just doesn't do anything for the dish. And the meats we added. Just ok, they could have been much more with different sourcing. It is a neighborhood place.
Wings were spicy and I did need that tasty dipping sauce.
The beet appetizer was excellent and I really enjoyed the herbed goat cheese spread that came as an accompaniment to the roasted beets.
Oh, and order the collard greens.
Joe provided an excellent service.

This place is cozy, but it doesn't make you feel like you are invading the space of other patrons. Very friendly, efficient service. All varieties in the bread basket were very good and fresh and piping hot. The orange peel garlic butter was nicely balanced with just a hint of sweetness. I ordered the E.C. Burger. When reading the description, I thought it might have too many components, but I was wrong. Everything on it worked perfectly together. A great variety of textures and flavors and the burger itself was perfectly cooked. The grits were good, but not great. I sampled the pork chop my wife ordered and it was juicy and delicious. Next time I'm definitely getting the green chile mac n cheese. I tried a couple of bites and all I wanted was more. Looking forward to trying more dishes here!

My new favorite restaurant. We ordered one of everything on the tapas menu and enjoyed literally everything. I recommend the potstickers and the pizza! David, the manager, is the nicest human and took care of us so well. The goat cheese plate is to die for! Also, they change the menu seasonally and buy from local farmers. An absolute gem!

Just left Eastland Cafe and WOW what a great experience. I arrived with not a lot of time to waste. Sat at bar and (forgot the guy’s name!) the bartender immediately took my drink and food order. Ordered the ‘warm’ kale salad and added salmon. They had just started their fall menu. It’s was GREAT! The service could not have been better. Thank you! My fav neighbor hood restaurant/bar in Nashville. Side note: the guy that sat next to me lived down the street and brought the chef a jar of his homemade salsa (or something!). It’s what we do in Nashville. 💃

Wonderfully and friendly staff. Got us in on a Saturday night a little before 6 PM by putting us at a table with a 7:30 reservation. Our waiter Jeff was attentive and helpful.
The tomato and crab bisque was outstanding as were the main courses. Everything tasted fresh and the fish special was superb.
The next time we are back in Nashville we will go back.

Let's start with happy hour. Food is great. Drinks are great. They have awesome outside seating. They have baked mac n cheese with green chillies. I ever never had bad service. It is top notch. You can expect to spend around $25 at happy hour and dinner will cost you more, but it is all delicious.

We had a wonderful experience while traveling through Nashville. Ate on the patio with our waiter, David- he was personable, accommodating (we brought our yellow lab), and gave excellent recommendations. Food was 10/10 as was atmosphere!

Food was delicious. Our wait staff were pretty amazing. Only issue is sitting out front on the patio- they need a bigger or second fan to keep the flies/bugs away while you eat. Will be back. Salads were great!

The server was fabulous! She kept up with our party of 14 ordering dozens of dishes, drinks and shots over the three hours we were there without batting an eye. She then split our check 12 ways and got them all right! Food and drinks were great and reasonably priced during happy hours! Definitely going back!

It was the first time all the family met in Nashville July 2014. I contacted Open Table and there were 8 of us. Eastland made us a private table on the patio and catered to our every need. The food was everything we heard it was. We were super impressed. I thank Eastland for their Quality and attention to detail. The price was very good and our kids were super raving about it. It is a small drive from downtown, worth the cab ride. It felt very intimate and although we were in the big city, we felt at home. Thanks again. Highly Recommend!!!!!!

The only thing I’m extremely upset about is the fact that I don’t have this incredible restaurant in my city. From the potstickers to the wedge salad (with blue cheese and pepper jelly, amaze) to the shrimp and grits, everything was just insanely flavorful and my partner and I both agree this is easily some of the best food, if not the best food, we’ve had in Nashville so far. You could tell that so much care was put into the flavor of each dish and it really came out spectacularly. I absolutely cannot wait to eat here again! I’ll never come to Nashville and not come here.

I love Eastland. It has one of the best vibes around. Fancy enough for a special dinner, laid back enough for throwing on "real" pants and grabbing a glass of wine when the mood strikes. The employees are fantastic, friendly, and make every visit fun. Oh, and the food is good too!

Really good food and fantastic happy hour specials. Had good service and everything was tasty. The pizza was better than expected, as were the drinks and other items I sampled. Overall a fantastic cafe in East Nashville and we'll worth a visit!

Not usually tempted by dessert but ended up with the apple fritter donut with ice cream. Definitely recommend Eastland Cafe in East Nashville.

The pizza of the day yesterday. .. squash and red peppers and onions... it was the best pizza I have ever had.... The pizza's here never disappoint, But this one was stupendous. I woke up this morning wanting another one for breakfast!! :) I wish it were a permanent menu item. The staff is the best and Chef Paul is amazing. We love everything about this place!!!

We came to Nashville from out of town to throw a wedding rehearsal dinner for our son and his bride (and with the added pressure of impressing his in-laws, who have been in the restaurant business for decades). Well, the stars aligned, my wife found Henry, and boy, did you guys ever come through for us!!!! Henry was attentive and accommodating at every turn. He worked with us to tailor the menu to our guests and budget, responded promptly to phone calls and emails, and even printed a personalized menu for us. No detail was overlooked, the food was great (I am now a grit eater thanks to your wonderful gulf shrimp dish), and the service was impeccable. Every one of our guests raved about the food. Most important of all, my wife was thrilled with the dinner and proud to host the event.
We ate at some wonderful restaurants during our stay in town, but nothing topped this meal. I'll happily recommend you to anyone who wants outstanding food and service. Rest assured that we'll be stopping by every time we visit Nashville. You guys are the best!!!!

One of Nashville's true gems. Not sure what took me so long to get there, but glad I got there! One of if not the best happy hour in town. (Even on Saturdays). Bombastic bar menu, complex cocktails, and an alluring atmosphere make for a culinary experience not to be missed!

I can't say enough nice things about Amanda, Dana, Michael and the rest of the staff! We dined here in April and had a couple snafus, but nothing that I would say was earth-shattering. However, Amanda saw to it that our next dinner for two was on the house to make up for any issues! We were floored! Our visit last Saturday was wonderful! In a time when customer service has taken a back seat to revenue in many establishments on this side of the river, it's refreshing to see an EN restaurant place it's patrons above itself. Will definitely be back!
