Great BBQ chain. Our server Alexander was great, very prompt and friendly even though he was called in to work New Year's Day. The smoked pork is delicious, tender and moist. The collard greens and mac 'n cheese were great too. The onion rings were a bit mushy inside but still crispy and tasty. Also tried the pecan pie, which was delicious. I was very impressed with this location, the servers and hostesses are friendly and polite, and the food was great. Portion sizes are big too, so you get your money's worth here. I would definitely recommend this place if you are passing through. I know it's not a "Mom and Pop" establishment but was pleasantly surprised by the food and service.

Service is usually great, and the corn muffins are addictive. I always order a side of collards, they're amazing. I've sampled all across the menu and have enjoyed everything. My favorite is Taco Tueday, the smoked chicken and brisket taco are perfect. As for libations, the peach sangria is dangerously yummy. Family friendly, consistent great service, delicious barbecue.
Great BBQ, great staff. I eat here almost every week and it's always good. The drive thru line can take quite awhile during dinner hours, sometimes 20 minutes. Other than that, I recommend the brisket, coleslaw, collard greens. All so yummy.
Great food! And I'm on a diet and they tailored a meal for me! Excellent service by Lindsay and the manager even came around to chat. Ask for the free onion rings if it's your first time!!
I grew up in Texas, so I have an affinity for good BBQ brisket. I think I can honestly say this place has the best brisket I've ever had outside of Texas. I highly recommend.
Decent pork for a chain. Great variety. Delicious sides. The combo sandwich looks delicious. Attentive wait staff.
VERY DELICIOUS!! Was in Nashville for the weekend & ate there twice:) Their smokey BBQ turkey was the BOMB! Not 2 mention the hot & mouth watering biscuits!! Took to go biscuits both times! Everything my family ate was VERY GOOD!!
Great food, To Go Service lacking. Wonderful place to eat and the rolls are to die for. However we have have multiple bad experiences with To Go food from there, including incorect orders and delays during pick up.
SO Good!. The cole slaw is to die for, and Brandy, our server, was SO nice and attentive even though they were super busy!
The BBC pork melts in your mouth. Best coleslaw and Brandy, our waitress was awesome! She knew what we needed before we did. Worth the wait for a table!
Well executed brisket and pulled pork. Quick service despite being very busy. Friendly wait staff, especially Brandy. Will definitely eat there again.
Yummy. Best BBQ in my area, best cheese biscuits ever, everything i have ever had there has been satisfying and yummy, even the salads, and i never have buyers remorse after i eat there, unlike other places in nashville. totally worth it....in fact we just drive by sometimes and get biscuits to go
Love the food but they need to learn how to pace a meal. Third time I have gone there and 3 minutes after getting our salad's they bring dinner. They need to stop rushing people
We were passing through nashville, and based upon urban spoons reviews went jim n nicks...... the best bbq ive ever had, get the brisket, take my word!!!! my wife had the club and we shared thw banana pie, awsome!!! the staff and atmosphere were equaly as great as the food!!!! top notch!!!!!!
Great Bar-B-Que. Anything you order from the menu is top notch !!! Fantastic food, cold beer, and great service.
My only complaint is that there isn't a Jim 'N Nick's north of Nashville.
Seriously good stuff. Every time I go I am very pleased with service and food. They also have awesome carry out meals for parties! Why order pizza?
Good stuff. Solid BBQ. Good service. You can't go wrong!
Some of the Best BBQ my family has had since we moved to North Carolina one year ago. We had brisket, baby back ribs, and pulled pork - awesome!!
Absolutely delicious. Nothing you can really go wrong with here.
Eat here most Saturdays. Great food and good service. Many items on the menu besides BBQ and everything is good. Never a wait for a table. Ribs and catfish are my two favorites. Cinnamon apples are the best sides.
That was jus' fine.. I don't care who you are.. mmmmm
Great Restaurant. My husband and I met my brother as Jim N Nick's as per my brother's recommendation. It was New Years Eve and we were trying to avoid annoying people.
I want to start by saying that I didn't just like our server, I adored our server. I have worked on NYE before and its not always fun. We didn't get into town until late, so it was 8:00 pm or so by the time we were seated, and our server was so patient, and friendly, not rushed at all. He was just great. I can't remember his name, but we left a big tip as a thank you.
All of our food was awesome. I'm not a barbecue expert, so I wish I could tell you what different notes this sauce had compared to others, but I can't. It was just good. And I could have eaten 20 of those corn muffins (also good for dipping in the bbq sauce). My mac and cheese side was deliciously spicy, the beer was cold, and we all had margaritas that hit the spot.
I would recommend Jim N Nick's to anyone, and can't wait to visit next time I'm in Nashville.
The best spot on the west side of town!. There's a reason it's hard to find a parking spot at Jim n Nicks--they are fantastic and word has gotten out. Don;t miss the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Uncle Carl's Catfish puts the pitter patter in this southern girl's little heart.
Don't fill up on the corn muffins...be careful, it's easy to do. We always take home a couple dozen--they are so yummy.
Great service always...and a good times atmosphere.
My faves were the baby back ribs and catfish! And umm... have I mentioned that cheesy bread yet? Because seriously? TDF. I have to admit, it was a lot of food and H and I are probably going to eat leftovers for the next two nights. Go ahead, twist our arms. Ha. You know what they say: Hey, it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it! ;)
Jim N Nick’s doesn’t disappoint with their ‘cue, noting on their site that the pork shoulder, for example, is smoked for 14 hours before it’s served up, steaming hot. While I like some of the dishes more than others, I’m really struck that this place represents the southern delicacy well. The highly acclaimed pulled pork is absolutely spectacular, it’s soft and moist, and more importantly, it’s got this wonderful soft and smoky flavor to it. The edges are blackened nicely and the end result is barbecue that really does taste like it’s been smoked a long time in a back smoker. The beef brisket is great, too. As far as competition barbecue goes, soft brisket is overcooked, and
As soon as we landed in Nashville and got our rental car we headed right to Jim N Nick's. My wife and I split the sampler plate and we had pulled chicken and pulled pork with baked beans and onion rings. It was $24 and plenty to eat. We were a little bit disappointed that they're already out of brisket at 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday. They told us we'd have to wait 20 to 25 minutes if we wanted the turkey because the turkey wasn't ready. We weren't all that picky about it and we were very pleased with the food we did get. The corn muffins were tasty as well. They were sweet enough to be dessert. This place served some of the best onion rings and they were only $2.59 extra as one of the sides. It's probably impossible to find better barbecue but it would be fun looking. The photo shows the sample plate after my wife took her portion of the pulled pork, the beans and the chicken.
I’ve been coming to Jim n Nicks since I moved to Nashville 12 years ago. Nashville isn’t a huge BBQ city, and this is a franchise, but somehow it’s always good.
Is it the best BBQ I’ve ever had? No. Is it always good BBQ, definitely yes. The spare ribs have always been a favorite of mine, along with those little cheese biscuits.
I really have no complaints except for pricing going up. I think in the last few years I’ve seen the sore ribs go from $11 to $15… I always thought they were very affordable for the amount of food. Now they are just an, every once in a while type order. $15 is a lot for a pound of spare ribs.
I suggest going here. It’s always good. The staff is friendly. But instead of being a regular, the prices have made this an every once in a while stop.
We enjoyed my father's birthday dinner here. All of our food was great. We had ribs, loaded Mac n cheese, smoked turkey, catfish, and more.
I have been searching for good barbecue since moving to Nashville. I am so glad I stopped by this restaurant. The pulled pork was delicious as was the collard greens and baked beans. My server Tammy was amazing and I hope we can get them to cater at our office!
Hands down the best BBQ I've ever had! My husband and I visited based on a local recommendation and were so glad we did. Everything was top notch and the restaurant was clean! 10/10

We enjoyed this! I've had better BBQ, but this is acceptable. The chili cheese fries were great! We also enjoyed the brisket, the catfish, and Mac and cheese. Everything else was rather average. The waitstaff were exceptionally nice.
Also special shout out for the cheese biscuits, they're great.
AMAZING CHEESY MUFFINS!!! Food was really good, Brisket and Mac n Cheese were very good. Great customer service and easy parking
Parking: plentiful
Food: pretty good
Their cheese muffins/biscuits have a nice balance of sweet and salty. They have excellent fried catfish as the batter is tasty and they fried it just right so to give a crunchy and juicy bite. I also like their tartar sauce and their collard greens. I did not care too much for their baked bean since it was a bit too sweet for me.
Service: Excellent
I came in during slow time so I don't know what it is like when they are busy. But the servers came to check on me a couple of times and when I was ready to leave they even top off my leftover sweet tea to go
Ambience: Casual
Pricing: Reasonable
Would I come back: A definite yes!
Tasty goodness! Passing through Nashville on our way to ride Kanuga, and stopped here based on good reviews. Got in right around lunchtime, Sunday. By the time we left it was packed! Really good ribs, brisket, chicken and sides. The service was outstanding. Tyrone was friendly, very nice, on it with food, drinks...A+ service. Definitely will come back when passing through.
This place is fabulous. They donated food a few years ago and helped with the tornado victims and the red cross with whom I was doing shelter work woth. Every since then I have eaten here. Love the inside as well but this parking spot absolutely cha get everything and this should be every where a pregnant sign is. This sign should be every where !!!
