Review The Grilled Cheeserie - Nashville

So many yummy grilled cheese options, including vegetarian selections. The homemade chips were absolutely delicious with ranch. We also loved the tic tac toe games for entertainment, while waiting. We will definitely return!

Was in tonight (12/6) around 6pm. Was greeted by a very pleasant young lady that helped me navigate the menu for the first time. She suggested the cheesy tots to go with my Buffalo south… bacon and jalapeño relish, yes please! It was legitimately perfect. My chocolate chip cookie at the end just made it all that much better. Great job tonight TGC. Next trip in Nashville, I’ll be back!!

In town for a wedding and stumbled across this place. Had a grilled cheese and a salad and both were excellent! The navigation didn’t get me quite to the door, but had a little trouble finding it. According to their sign there, a safe space for all the snowflakes. We didn’t hold that against them and it’s a good thing because the food was really good.

We had the Pizza Melt and the Quesabirria Melt. Both are a nice novelty, albeit the pizza melt could be replicated quite easily at home. Both are quite good, even if a bit pricey for what it is; however it doesn't feel too expensive considering it is a grilled cheese restaurant, a novelty in itself. Parking in the area is a bit rough, and the pay stations were broken in the larger lot.

Yum!! I wish I could have eaten more because I wanted to try everything. The B&B was great, good combo of sweet and salty. The chips and ranch were so delicious.

Visited mid day on Saturday. Line made the place seem trendy. Turns out, employee taking orders & payment was just slow. Ordered the Buffalo South and Buffalo Tots, both sans Blu Cheese, and they were great.

The Grilled Cheeserie is cute and quaint. The general manager greeted us and took our order. He also answered questions we had. The roasted red pepper and tomato soup was hands down the most delicious soup I've ever eaten, and the grilled cheese was tasty. What makes it even better was that the food tasted just as great reheated. I'm excited to try additional things from the menu.

Absolute quality from this place. The staff was super friendly, the vibe was nice and happy, and the food was fantastic. We got the Buffalo South, it was the only bleu cheese option, and the Quesobirria. Both were excellent, flavorful, and well worth the price.

Nashville, TN. Gluten-free bread, artichoke dip grilled cheese, soups, salads were all great! My relative can’t have gluten, dairy or egg and she loves this place. So did everyone else in our large group.

Love eating here! The food is delicious and such a treat. Parking is difficult and you will need to walk a little. If you don't arrive early, you will most likely have to wait in line. This place is always busy. They take food allergies seriously and eveerything is very fresh. Make sure you are standing in the right line. The Biscuit Love people always have a line and the two lines can be hard to distinguish sometimes.

Just a really great experience. Food is top notch. Services second to none. Caryn helped us order and gave perfect recommendations. Must stop place in Nashville!

I was bummed that the restaurant was entirely out of noodles when I went, so we couldn’t get the mac and cheese option we had decided on. However, I got the birria grilled cheese and it was great! It was greasier than expected (and I expected it to be really greasy), but the bread soaked it up well! The consume was delicious! I wish there was more cilantro (maybe on the sandwich itself). The lime wedge really elevated the grilled cheese and gave it the kick of freshness it needed! Overall, it was really well rounded. The tiramisu milkshake was fantastic too!

Grilled cheese is one of my favorite things so naturally I had to check this place out. Got the artichoke grilled cheese and hopscotch shake. Came out to $19 which seemed pricey to me considering the sandwiches are on normal-sizes sandwich bread, but both the sandwich and shake were yummy. Would probably go back as a treat every once in a while.

I asked the cashier what they recommended since it was my first time visiting this restaurant, and they mentioned the Quesaberria melt, and it did not disappoint! It was delicious, I'll definitely be back to try more on their menu!!!

This restaurant was near where we were staying so figured we'd give it a try for lunch. Ordered the pimento mac sandwich and tomato soup. Sandwich was fine (one side was a little dark approaching burned, and I was expecting/hoping for more bacon, with the bits I was questioning if it was in there), but the soup was great!

My wife and I visited The Grilled Cheeserie after a day of touring Nashville. We arrived about 4:30 before the place got busy. We ordered our food at a counter at the rear of the restaurant. A menu board behind the counter clearly outlines the restaurant's offerings. We both decided on the B&B of Tennessee. It's a sandwich made on multigrain bread with white cheddar cheese, thick cut crispy bacon, and caramelized apple shallot jam. The sweetness of the jam plays nicely with the salty, savory bacon, and the bread had great taste and texture. Add the gooey deliciousness of the cheese, and the result was an outstanding grilled cheese sandwich! Along with my sandwich I ordered old fashioned tomato soup. The soup was creamy and full-flavored. It wasn't overly sweet, but tasted natural and homemade. My wife ordered homemade chips and French onion dip. The chips are crunchy and are good all by themselves, but the French onion dip complimented the chips well. As for beverages, my wife got lemonade with strawberry preserves, which she really enjoyed, and I ordered an unsweetened iced tea. The tea was clear, crisp, and refreshing. The staff at The Grilled Cheeserie were friendly and professional, the restaurant was squeaky clean (including the restroom), the atmosphere was inviting, and the food was delicious. The Grilled Cheeserie serves upscale comfort food at its best, and we're glad we stopped by!

It was okay but for the price you didn’t get much. The sandwich literally had a tiny piece of cheese that didn’t even cover half the bread and the ham was so small that you only tasted it in one bite of the sandwich. Not worth the hassle of trying to find a parking spot to go inside.

Y-U-M-M-O!!!! I’m so glad we finally tried this place! We stopped in for dinner and let me tell you...The Grilled Cheeserie Shop did not disappoint! We devoured our smorgasbord of cheesy deliciousness that was layed before our hungry eyes!!! I recommend the pimento mac&cheese, cheesy tots& a Mexican cola! We will definitely be back! #grilledcheeseguru

We found this place online when looking up places to eat while on vacation in Nashville. This place is adorable. The food was pretty good. I had the Buffalo south sandwich and it was good, but I feel like there needed to be more Buffalo sauce. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the pickled celery, but was pleasantly surprised by the taste of it. It did however seem like there was too much of it on the sandwich. My only other complaints are that it was a little messy and we weren't offered a fork with our cheese tots. My favorite part was the mint lemonade. It was delicious. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to a friend.

Great service! Great place to grab a quick bite! Recommend the Harvest Time Grilled Cheese and the Frozen Mexican Chocolate Shake. If you want to cheat on your diet. You have found the place.

The first time I ate there was their gourmet truck and it was the best sandwich I've ever had. I've eaten at their storefront yesterday for the first time and I was, again, amazed at how delicious it was. It was the cleanest restaurant I've ever been in as well.
Lexi Kay
Highly recommend the vegan grilled cheese and the roasted red pepper soup! It can be hard finding vegan options and they even asked to cook the sandwich in oil instead of butter which was appreciated! Coming here for lunch was a must when visiting Nashville!
Niki Albertson
A celiac friendly grilled cheese? Yes please. Everything here is delicious and the staff is super friendly. I recommend it.
Julie Guenther
I saw the food truck on an episode of diners drive ins and dives, so when I came to Nashville on vacation I had to try it! This place did not disappoint!!! I had the pimento mac n cheese and my son had the b & b Tennessee, and we both had the cheesy tots. Oh my it was so delicious!!!!! I wish I lived closer so I could have it again!
Krisandra Lassiter Thomas
The food and shake were very good! Highly recommend!!!

I was watching Pickler and Ben... This place was on their show and when my husband and I decided to come to Nashville, this was on our list! Great food... Lemonade with mint was great!! Will visit again ... Courteous and great service!

The people working were extremely nice. The floats were good. The food...eh...mine was underwhelming. My husband said he appreciated the thick cut bacon and real butter used. Personally, I’d have expected for $33.00 for two people a bit more but honestly, I’d have made the same meal at home and it would have been just as good.
Chelsea Foster
The best grilled cheese I've ever eaten in my entire life. Worth the price!! Cute atmosphere and cool merch too!

Can I move from NC to Nashville JUST for this place please ???? That tomatoe soup I need the recipe for and mouth still watering for the sandwich . Win Win WIN here
LuAnn Fox
A little pricey for grilled cheese. Really disappointed but of course I should have known you really can’t make something spectacular out of bread and cheese.
Susan Barney Russell
I would have rated it 4 stars instead of 3 for taste alone, but one out of four sandwiches was totally wrong. We got the meal to go, so it was discovered after leaving. We got there just as the lunch crush started. There was no question of going back.
Josh Mullins
I thought the pimento cheese and bacon grilled cheese was excellent. The tater tots and milkshakes are delicious as well!
Ben Singleton
This place is absolutely spectacular, the food was fantastic!

Fantastic food truck!!! What a great simple pleasure! The sandwich was great and the tots were tasty! The food quality was superb... worth a taste!

Nashville has a grilled cheese food truck. A GRILLED CHEESE FOOD TRUCK. HAVE I DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN. MAYBE.As soon as I caught wind of "The Grilled Cheeserie," I stalked their website to find out where they'd be the week I was in Nashville. They were at something called 615 Day (Nashville's area code is 615, so they have a celebration on June 15. Kinda cool). And we followed them there. This food truck, which serves up gourmet grilled cheese melts, is the brainchild of a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef. So, yes, it's hip and trendy. But it's also really friggin' good. The Grilled Cheeserie has a few specialty grilled cheeses (fun fact: I used to call these toast 'n' cheese. Just what I grew up calling it. Until I said it outside of my household, and no one knew what I was talking about):The B&B of Tennessee - $7.50

Loved this place! I had a mushroom grilled cheese sandwich and a wonderful Root Beer. The wait was a little long but it was worth it! I did go on a Saturday so that's usual for a good truck at the Farmer's Market.

Never again. After placing my order this Friday, I waited over a half hour... Yes, for a grilled cheese sandwich. Then they called me to the window to tell me they have away my sandwich to someone else. No apologies, no starting what they were going to do. I ended up waiting another 15 minutes to get my sandwich. <br/>The sandwich was ok, but after the crappy service, I won't go back.

Salty Galore!. The Benton's Bacon that is used on the sandwichs is Sooo salty that me and two of my co-workers couldn't eat our sandwichs. And I paid almost $9 for a grilled cheese with bacon and an order of tots. None of us will visit the truck again. Sorry.

I was a little skeptical about a food truck. A mobile eatery serving grilled cheeses..... Gourmet ones at that... Decided it was best to make the wives happy. One bite out of one of these sandwiches and you'll be hooked like a cracked out streetwalker on Dickerson road. They claim to use only fresh organic ingredients from local farms. I think they are secretly placing either schedule I or II drugs in these amazing sandwiches in an attempt to get the patrons addicted to their menu items. A word of caution: this stuff is habit forming!

Slow and overpriced. I waited an eternity to order, and then again for the food.it was mediocre at best. The bread was so hard it cut the roof of my mouth, and the tomato was mealy and flavorless. Tater tots were greasy and mushy. I have no interest in returning. Don't let the long lines fool you, it's not worth the hype (or price).
Chris
Reasonable lunch. We waited in line about half an hour to place our order. Ok since it was the first time but it wasn't good enough to do that again. About as good as a panera sandwich really, with slower service. I was annoyed to pay .50 for the thinnest, untastable slice of tomato ever. The peach cobbler was delicious but at 3.00 for 4 bites, way overpriced.

Hit by yet another Truck!!. Buffalo Chicken Melt and the Pork Belly Melt on Rosemary Garlic both with tots... WONDERFUL!!!! Buffalo on Sourdough that was hearty and robust in texture but welcoming to the flavors of the buffalo sauce, chicken and cheeses used in the composition!! Pork Belly melt that was just astounding to the tastebuds!! The sauce for the tots was more like a smokey tartar sauce that was not bad at all. Wonderful truck to be struck by!!!

Good the first time. Tried out the grilled pimento Mac & cheese sandwich for the first time. It was very tasty. Bacon gave it a nice smokey flavor. Will try some of their selections soon.

So amazing. I was disappointed when I approached the truck to see that they were out of 5 of the 7 cheeses on the menu so I decided to order the Croque Madame. It was amazing! It worked out that one of the cheese they had left was one of their specialty menu items, really enjoyed the Croque Madame and am looking forward to trying more specialty grilled cheeses from The Grilled Cheeserie, and am excited about the new Fall menu.

Totally "unoverated" grilled cheese! All kinds of cheese and other goodies such as rosemary ham, fried egg pimento mac and cheese, old fashioned tomato soup and the best damn tots ever. FIND THIS TRUCK!
AnnG
Who knew grilled cheese could be this fabulous. Tried the Croque Madame today and I was not really prepared for gastronomic delight I encountered. Can't wait until I can visit the truck again.

No. 1 on my list of the Nashville food trucks (so far). Their selection and creativity is unmatched. Excellent grilled cheese sandwiches with tons of add ons. Try one of the menu items or build your own. I'm sure they won't disappoint!

Great Comfort Food. What's more comforting than a fresh grilled cheese and a cup of tomato soup? That is what you'll get a the Grilled Cheeserie food truck, but with a gourmet twist.<br/><br/>Went yesterday with the family and did a wide sampling of the menu: Croque Madame, Caliente, Breakast Sandwich and plain ol' grilled cheese sandwich for the kids.<br/><br/>Each sandwich was excellent, and you can tell the quality of the ingredients used. My personal favorite was the caliente with a combination of queso fresco, jack, avocado, pickled jalapenos and caramalized onions. My wife preferred the Croque Madame with the Gruyere cheese, mustard, egg and ham. I have to say that the eggs were done perfectly.<br/><br/>We also tried the roasted tomato soup and the original tomato soup. Both were excellent with the sweetness from the roasted tomato soup and the heartier flavor of the original. <br/><br/>Thanks Grilled Cheeserie for an excellent meal.

A must have. Went today for lunch. Line was long in Hillsboro Village. Waited 15 minutes to order the special: Buttermilk Cheddar, Speck, Fig Jam.<br/>Waited another 10 minutes to receive my sandwich.<br/>It was worth the wait.<br/>It was an awesome sandwich.<br/>Even though the name is a bit on the cheesy side - I Will Be Back.<br/><br/>Bricks and Mortar vs Mobile Deliciousness - who will win?<br/><br/>While waiting a guy from Provence across the street came over handing out menus, in a feeble attempt to steal customers. If Provence offered a quality product then maybe this would have worked & the people would have forgone the chilly line for warmer digs. Patrons in line seemed amused by this, as I was. He went into the yogurt shop, probably to complain about the truck parked outside.<br/><br/>Would have taken a picture of my sandwich, but it was too good and I wanted it to stay warm as I was parked blocks away....
Sarah
It was love at first bite.. From the simple, shaved-ham-and-provolone-on-sourdough to the gussied up, Bacon-brie-buttermilk-chedder-apple-onion-chutney-on-multigrain grand...every bite has been a delight!<br/><br/>Track down the truck and enjoy! It's worth the effort. And try the soup.

Just had a great grilled cheese with a farm fresh egg inside. Local sourdough and cheddar. Their roasted tomato soup was delicious. I highly recommend it.

It's hard for me to believe I've been in Nashville for two years and hadn't tried a sandwich from The Grilled Cheeserie.  Grilled cheese and tomato soup is one of my favorite combos of all time.  My team from work decided to track down the truck when it was nearby us on a Friday.  Since it was prime family vacation time, the line wasn't that long at all.  Score! Like my favorite local trucks do, they source from local vendors.  (Don't let the Guy Fieri tag on the truck fool you, this is a legitimately awesome truck.  Sorry, now sorry Guy.)  You can choose from their menu (including specials) or make your own melt. I had to go with a classic, the Pimento Mac & Chee, featuring housemade pimento, local cheddar mac, and bacon on country white bread.  (I skipped the sliced tomato.)  I was going to get some Kettle Chips, but when I saw the famed tater tots were only 75 cents more, I went for it.  You can get some of their Tot Sauce, which is a spicy ketchup, to go with the meal. I took like

The sandwiches from The Grilled Cheeserie were as amazing as I hoped they would be.

The Grilled Cheeserie has an extensive menu with specialty grilled cheese sandwiches and build your own options.

today's sandwich was Jack cheese with grilled pickles on their Italian herb bread.

The concept is simple, get on the tweet or facebook listing for the Grilled Cheeserie, find out where they are going to be, and go order a grilled cheese. You can choose the type of bread, type of cheese, and any other type of filling on the daily changing menu that you may want. Chrystal cooks it up, and voila! A perfect grilled cheese sandwich.
