Review The Stillery - Nashville

NY
We were really surprised at how awesome the service and the food were so delicious. Especially after we had a bad experience at the Black Tap in Nashville. We will not be going back there again. We were treated well at The Stillery also and felt very comfortable in the atmosphere. Recommended it to anyone to "The Stillery." Chicken wings were little šŸ˜‹ hot, but delicious with a nice flavor and my lady's fish was awesome šŸ‘ŒšŸæ too. You saved our day. We give it a 10 yo.....

Some of the best food we all had! The spicy chicken pizza was probably in my top 5 pizzas I ever had. The spicy mac and cheese was the best Mac and cheese I ever had! The wontons were incredible as well. The Brussels were a little soft but still tasted good. The service was quick, professional, and made great recommendations. Ambiance was quieter but could still talk at a normal level.

Truth is, I haven't eaten hear yet. For what it worth it sure looks like it would be good food... But I have mingled around and the Location on 2nd street is choice Is plenty of hot bars also. Enjoy your stay in Nashville.

Great place to eat in the heart of Nashville! They also have a rooftop bar. We waited 45 minutes for a table. All the staff were friendly. The food was definitely worth the wait. We loved the Hot Chicken sandwich and Sonoran burger. The fries were not very good. They seemed a little soggy. I would have preferred them with some crispness.

There was no wait, a nice comfortable booth, service was quick, though our food came out a few minutes apart it was fresh and well made. We enjoyed the bacon and jalapeno rangoons to start. The Mac n cheese is very creamy and they toast up the top for a little extra crunch. The hot chicken comes in house and Nashville hot so you can adjust the heat level, I'm not a fan of the cheese they used on the hot chicken sandwich but it was mostly easy to scrape off. The steak sandwich with greens was very tender and thinly sliced to make it easier to eat, it was one of the best constructed higher quality steak sandwiches I've seen.

We got in around 8pm so itā€™s pretty crowded, we waited for 45 minutes before getting seated. Since itā€™s our first time, we chose the special and recommended dishes. I got myself the Mac & Cheese with Hot chicken- the popular one in the restaurant. We also got a Hanger Steak (pic not included), Catfish & Chips- as my waiterā€™s favorite one, and Steakā€™Sand Burger. My Mac&Cheese is creamy and makes a great combination with spicy chicken wings, which is understandable why people love it. Personally, I love and recommend the Steakā€™Sand Burger because of its crunchy bread and juicy meat with cheese and greens. Great amount and all is delicious. Got so full quickly. Our waiter is friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere.

The Stillery has some of the best food I've eaten in Nashville. The pretzel burger was outstanding. I haven't had a burger this good since 2015, so it very nearly beat the best burger I've ever had. The staff was fantastic. Everyone was very professional. Dave was awesome! He mixed my drink perfectly. It was a packed house when I went, but it wasn't a long wait for anything. Everything was completely under control here. The atmosphere is typical of a rustic gastropub vibe. I enjoyed how clean everything was. It was very welcoming. I enjoyed this place a lot. I can't wait to be back.

Food was just, yum! Great mac'n'cheese, with hot chicken. Delicious. The bartender who served us was very nice and stayed on top of things! The picture is of a plain mac without the chicken and their fries. There's more food than you think. Very filling.

This is definitely a must try in Nashville!! The food was awesome! We got the Deviled eggs, the Steak San, and the Mac n cheese with hot chicken ontop (we got the milder version which wasn't too spicey but still had a kick) All of it was delicious!! The mac and cheese was the best I have ever had! We also tried one of there mason jar cocktails, the peach tea one, and it was pretty damn good :) but a little over priced. (Everything is on Nashville so whatever) Pros- The location is right on Broadway, and it is right next to Big Machine Vodka Distillery. If you haven't tried Big Machine, you need to. One thing to mention is they weren't taking reservations when we showed up. They said it would be a 30 minute wait but for 2 people it was closer to 10 minutes. Noteworthy - Nashville is LOUD everywhere is loud!! The night we came here, it wasn't super loud inside and was a nice little break from the Loud outside. (I know, I'm a grandma already at 24) Critiques Everything was good food wise, but my critique would be to SEASON the food. Ya'all have a lot of flavor goin on, but the steak coulda be better seasoned the fries definitely coulda been better seasoned. So the food gets a 4/5 because it needs some seasoning. Another random con- I didn't mind being stuck in the back of the downstairs room, but we were sat right next to where the food was going in and out. It wasn't horrible, but it does tinge the atmosphere a bit. I am just surprised they aren't because a closed swinging door like most places, but it was kinda fun to watch their system because it is crazy on a Friday night! I was getting anxiety just watching šŸ¤£

Good food and friendly service

My husband and I shared a mac n cheese and a brick oven pizza (firehouse pie) for dinner. We really enjoyed the food which was super tasty - particularly the pizza which was topped with quality ingredients (the flavoursome house made Italian sausage was amazing). The staff were super friendly and the prices and portions really reasonable!

Ate lunch here in March - was pretty quiet.Ā Staff were helpful and food range was good.
Started with pickle chips - never had them before and they were great & a huge serve.Ā Had the meat pie and my partner had chicken - both were OK without being outstanding.
Range of craft beers was really good and helpful bar staff aided my selections.Ā My partner had a Dreamside cocktail and that was good too.

Worth a visit for sure as pricing is very reasonable.

We arrived at 6pm on a Friday evening. 30 min wait for 2 or open seating on the 2nd floor. We walked up and found one table available. Live music on both floors.
We had pickle chips with ranch, strawberry Gorgonzola salad and Catfish and chips for dinner. Food was delivered relatively fast and tasted very delicious.
I will definitely go there again.

Came here with a party of six on a Sunday night expecting one of Nashville best downtown dining experiences based on reviews, but our experience missed that mark. The only highlights were the starter wings and the pizza. Their signature dish, macaroni and cheese topped with hot chicken was the problem. Macaroni was too dry, not enough cheese sauce or spice/salt and the hot chicken was so-so. I'd return for the pizza, but that's it.

Probably my favorite restaurant we visited. We went here twice for dinner one night and drinks and apps another. The line can be long, but for good reason. The bartender was really friendly. Food, pizza had a good crust and kinda charred, loved it. Brussels sprouts are freaking awesome. The caprese panini is a worthwhile try. Every thing was seasoned just like we like it .

This was a nice find! Staff was great!!! Their pizza and salads were excellent. Music could have been better... not that they didn't sound good, the two guys wouldn't stop messing with the sound system. At some point we were hopeful that they'd just sing some songs.

Ok so we are out of town, like wayyy outta town(australia). Was looking forward to the American food somewhat, and to be honest I have to say compared to most places we have tried which are mainly fried fried fried, this place makes its mark with me.
Decided to try the snack board which had an array of cured meats, cheese, pecans and cherry tomatoes with nice toasted bread. Loved it! Something different to the burgers, and well burgers we had been having. My friend got the caprese sandwich, in which we saw the "fried" element come back with being dowsed in oil and butter pretty darn soggy. But other than that was great. Service was ok, but I'm comparing to Australia so marginally different. Recommended and wouldn't mind coming back ! Good job guys šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼

Mac and cheese with hot chicken is everything I love. The dreamsicle was amazing! This place is definitely somewhere you should stop to grab a bite and a couple of drinks.

This place was our first spot to check out in Nashville and it was so much fun upstairs. Atmosphere was carefree and lively. Food was great! Music was awesome! No complaints! Check it out for sure.

I was expecting a little more. Cool atmosphere/setting. I had a weird experience where I got up from the bar to go to the restroom, was gone like a minute and came back to my drink gone, place setting removed and someone in my seat?!? Wtf?! Issue was resolved quickly and gave me a free drink, so kudos to that service, but just a weird situation. I had the chicken on Mac n cheese. The chicken was good but the Mac n cheese was very dry. Had the Mule cocktail which was tasty. So so on this place.

My husband and I had a pleasant experience here being from out of town. The atmosphere from the get go was pleasant. A live singer but low key enough for you to be able to carry a conversation. He was talented to say the least. The decor and ambiance was great in there. We sat at the bar and I had a strawberry drink in a mason jar was very fresh. The steak sandwich with cilantro aioli was tender and bursting with flavor. They had plenty to offer on the menu- would definitely go back and recommend.

We looked up for a place to eat at in Nashville downtown, which would let us have a nice talk while we eat and drink. We basically did not want to be hurried out of a place. We got here on a Friday evening close to 7.30. We did not have people waiting before us but all the tables were occupied. We got ourselves on the wait list and walked around downtown for about 15 minutes. We came back and sat on the bar for about 5 minutes when we were shown to our table.

This place has a nice feel to it, the music is good but not too loud. We ordered:

Drinks:

Dreamsicle (My justification for this was that the drink is going to taste like a dream. It was a bad drink)
Southern Peach (2 of these. This was tasty)

Food:

Sriracha Devil Eggs (Tasty, but cold with just a drop of Sriracha)
Pickle Chips (I would not order this again. Not a big fan of pickle, but my friend who was a fan of pickle did not like it too much too. Probably more of a side than a starter)
Tomato+Pesto (This was tasty and nicely done)
Hot Chicken Pie (I read a couple of people say it was exceptionally tasty. My friends did not think so. Also, they found the Pesto pizza better)

Both the pizzas were burnt initially, we asked for replacements. The service was slow but that was our intention. We were in no hurry. The place is reasonably priced with decent food. Will go back here when I am done with trying out every other pub in Nashville :)

While attending a downtown conference recently we ate dinner at the Stillery. The food was so good we returned for a second time two nights later. Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed the 3-meat burgers, Mac and cheese, fries, and Caesar salad. The best though was the hot skillet of 18 wings with choice of two sauces. Service was superb as well. We left telling people in the sidewalk, reading the posted menu, that they MUST eat here.

Great food and music. We started off with a jalapeƱo appetizer which we both thought was delicious. I had the steak and shroom pizza and it was great. My wife had the strawberry salad which she loved.
