What a fantastic evening! Celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary with friends on the outside patio. Even though weather was a bit cool outside, the heaters made us all comfortable. Delicious food, cutest ever waiter, music from the live piano and singer ~ doesn't get any better! This is one of favorite places to have dinner and drinks.
your experience begins when you walk up. We had a reservation which I recommend especially on a Friday night. Our dining experience inside was perfect. Three in our party of five ordered the lasagna which was absolutely fabulous. The serving portions are perfect. Atmosphere is fun and we were reminded of the meals were have shared in our Nonna’s kitchen. The team of servers were fantastic in action. Highly recommend and thank you

I adore the ambiance of this place the birdcage chandeliers make the interior unforgettable. However I can’t say as much for my food or drinks. I felt as if some of the portions were a bit small. The sauce on the pizza was thin/watery with too much cheese. My mothers pasta had the same sauce & it just didn’t do anything for me nor did the other entrees on the table. I refuse to completely bash restaurants in my reviews. They might have just had a off day. I do have to say i had the grouper for my main course and that was delicious and cooked/deboned to perfection! It was the one dish I didn’t photograph because I attacked it!
We stopped here on our stroll of historic Naples to enjoy a gelato. Barbatella was a very pleasant surprise. We were allowed to sample the flavors. And the portions for the price were very generous. The gelateria area is separate from the restaurant seating so you can quickly get in and out. There was wonderful outdoor seating as well.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating (We had an infant in tow!).
Authentic Italian Restaurant with best pizza in Naples and gelato is die for. Staff is great and very kid friendly so bring your hole family for the dinner in Italian style!!! Ask to be seated next to lucky fountain .....
We really enjoyed our dinner here. Came here last year during our first trip to Naples and made sure we dine here during this year trip. The service is awesome. The food was very tasty and fresh. We’ll be back here again next year.
The service was fast and kind. The bread and oil before the dinner was spot on.
We had kids pizzas which they loved. Came out hot and really filled up the kids.
The adults had short rib ravioli. All I can say is amazing. I would definitely have this again. We also had the daily special fettuccini with black truffles. Also, really good with a nice sauce. Highly recommended and would eat here again.
Dined at Barbatella today for my 5th or 6th visit for cocktails and an unexpected pizza experience thanks to 1/2 off Monday night pizza offer. Friend and I tried the Barbatella (good flavor profile but impossible to eat as lack of binding agent led toppings to topple before reaching my mouth) and Capricciosa (better overall taste and much easier to eat). Fun chance to try something new - will return to regular menu on next visit.
Barbatella is a gem in Naples downtown. The food is delicious. You can taste a real Italian pizza, choose between a variety of fresh and tasty antipasti and delicious main courses. The atmosphere is enchanting, and the staff attentive and well trained. I highly recommend Barbatella Italian restaurant.
Very good place and experience! Our server was top notch. The restaurant was busy and we were smooshed into an outside table (our request) and none of that was a problem. The food was very good. We had the calamari, pizza, salmon, puttanesca pasta. The meal was excellent. Definitely a repeat adventure.
Visiting Naples and walking around probably I
would suggest not to pick the first place like we
did looking at the reviews. Place itself is nice, big,
with seating outside near the fountain and inside.
Service isn't welcoming from the first impression.
We had to wait till the administrator finishes her
phone call for 5 min. There was no one else to
assist. Table was set quickly, but service is slow.
From the moment the order was placed it didn't
take long. One order was lost and they fixed it.
Not too many vegetarian healthy options with no
pasta or not fried, but at least they told me what
they can do and what can't. Lunch many is quite
limited.
Out of courses all pizza was the best option.
Crunchy and thin crust as we asked. Pizza comes
in one size not large. Sandwiches are huge, kids
liked them, but only with white bread and don't
come with a side of anything. Salmon was ok on
top of salad and bursts but nothing special for
$29. Vinegar and olive oil on the table helped to
make it to some taste.
Overall I think a good place for Italian thin crust
pizza lovers. But if you are traveling and seek for
a delicious, authentic, savoring food experience
and enjoyment, this is the place to fuel hunger.
The pizza here is very good, and worth going back for. The service itself left a lot to be desired, super slow and some pizzas were brought out 20 minutes before others. Leopard spots on the bottom, high heat in a traditional Italian oven. One of our orders was wrong, but they fixed it no problem, unfortunately that took another 20 minutes, they were not busy during this time. Luckily the food was so good I'd go back regardless.
