Le Baron's Honker Cafe

... By now I knew that they were springing a "surprise" birthday party on me. They took me to Le Baron's Honker Café at 1210 2nd Street, in Nampa's business district. Now understand, this is not just a grandma, grandpa and a couple kids. This crew today was Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad and nine grandchildren. They set a table for all of us to sit together and had water to drink for the adults before we were all seated. Then they brought kids water in covered cups. No spilling, yeh. Our waiter, and the owner I believe, was quick to bring us menus and supply the kids with crayons and kids menus on placemats. When time to order came, he sat down on the bench at one end of the "kids line up" and started to take our orders. Served our order much quicker than I expected. In fact, the kids had not even finished the crackers off before our food was getting delivered. And the man got everything correct, every kids meal, every extra plate (to divide up the large servings), and the extra things some of us asked for. As soon as our plates were empty, they were cleared from the table so we could sit, talk, and digest. Then, the amazing. He asked who was taking the bill. My wife and daughter spoke behind our backs, each saying that the other was taken the bill when our waiter said, "Let me tell you, I am responsible to my God above. Your bill is paid in full." And he promptly walked away, even before we could thank him. WOW. What more can I say. This is a place anyone coming thorough Nampa, Idaho should stop at. Not just cause of his special actions to us, but because of the great food and service. And even though we did not pay, the prices were very reasonable.
