nice new restaurant with plenty of seating and parking. The food was Hot, good flavor and very reasonably priced. Serving Breakfast mainly for winter, close to our AirBNB and very clean. Good service as well. Bar on site for those adult beverages too :-)

The food is very good and has the best oysters around. They were large and fresh . Flounder was very good, and shrimp were cooked perfectly .. we ordered a salad and appetizer of potato skins and then had hushpuppies when we sat down .. well, the problem is the complete meal hushpuppies appetizer and entire meal came at once and the table was so full of plates it was hard to eat . Never have we been so pushed to eat and leave which kill the entire meal for us . Really, I should give a 3 star, but the food was awesome.

Stop in this morning for breakfast. The Dunes never disappoint. The food is delicious and the servings are large. Biscuits and hot cakes are both large and very tasty. If you are lucky you will get Alex W. as your server he is fantastic and very attentive. Hopefully we will be back soon.
Update a year later fall 2023. We came back for another breakfast. The food and service was great. My wife got shrimp and grits and loved it.

Stopped in for breakfast on the way out of town. This is one of our favorite places to grab breakfast. The prices are very reasonable. Our server could not be bothered to take our order. Barely interested and didn’t really seem like she wanted to be there. The food came out at a decent time. Quality of the food is good as always! We sat on the bar side.

Our 1st trip to the Dunes for dinner. Excellent sercvice and delicious shrimp meal. Our visit was perfect and we for sure will return.

The interior is homey, and there’s a gift shop with fun merch.

Standard type breakfast menu, nothing innovative, but many of the essentials were available. The addition of meat substitute(s) would help a lot.

I got the Belgian waffle with blueberries - it was nicely browned and hit the spot. Also ordered the “Gourmet Grits” - although there was nothing gourmet about them, they weren’t even shone-ground, nevertheless they were delicious with cheddar and I enjoyed them.

Amazing !!!! Food is the best ever. Everything was hot and fresh. The service was spot on! The mixed drinks are NOT watered down they are great. Prices are fantastic. Val, our waitress was one of the best I've ever had. She was very attentive and had a very nice disposition. I would highly recommend this place.

We met up with family in Nags Head for a short vacation. We had a medium-size group out for dinner along with small children. The Dunes was so accommodating to us. We had a reasonable wait time. Once we were seated, service was quick and excellent. The food was great and everyone enjoyed what they got. For the ones who enjoyed a drink, the beer selection was perfect. We will come here again in the future when we are in town.
