Ho Wan

This place may not seem as fancy as the other super buffets around here but the buffet was always amazing for the price. Food is excellent (buffet and/or menu) and staff is very friendly (Bae is the best). It has been closed for renovations since November 2019. We keep driving by hoping to see them open again. Definitely anxious for them to reopen, as we've missed it

So far they are the best in town. I’ve ordered delivery from many other places. They not only have the best portion sizes but the generals chicken was the best tasting out of many other places I’ve tried. Some Chinese restaurants give 90% veg and 10% meat but not ho way... I will definitely order again.

This is the first time that I am visiting Myrtle Beach from Toronto, Canada. My wife want the famous “sea food buffet”, so we went in a couple of them in order to see what they are serving, I have to admit, the presentation is so-so. Honestly, how much can one eat in one sitting. It is not justified to pay $35+ for each of family of four in my case, especially the kids are a lost cause for this price, even for half of the price for that matter. Ho Wah on the other hand is a great find for me, they offers a fantastic value to eat out ($6.95 for lunch,$9.95 for dinner)The food are great! They are authentic Chineses food . Personally, I am paying that much for a lunch box in Toronto! The staff are very friendly. We will definitely go back again.

You’re gonna wanna read this whole review I promised you. So I live in NC but my girlfriend lives in SC and had to work at night so since she doesn’t like seafood I got to one of the few seafood Buffett’s open during off season and ask how much the buffet is, granted I haven’t been to one in at least 3 years and I know they’re expensive but the kind lady tells me something like $38. After I pick my jaw up off the floor and politely explain that the way my bank account is set up I have a checking and a savings and all my moneys in my savings so by the time it gets transferred they’ll be closed I leave and go in search of something I can afford. So I’m driving and I see this place and my gf also does not like Chinese food so I’m like perfect. So as I walk in I’m thinking what in the literal heck have I walked into, definitely not like a first date or somewhere you want to propose at kinda place but I’m a taste over looks kinda guy. So I am greeted by a very nice staff member and taken to my seat and then head off to the buffet. It is smaller than most buffets but the variety is very very good. The food is also very very good and it’s only $9.95 and the way my bank account is set up I can work with that. I mean like a 2 entree plate from Panda Express is about that much and this is endless! Plus my favorite part is the staff member that walks around with a microphone to tell the kitchen what they’re running low on. Personally it was my favorite part of the whole experience. We’re certain dishes better than others? Of course but what restaurant isn’t like that? All in all for $11.10 including tax you can’t beat it. Will definitely be back.

Much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. My family and I are on vacation at MB and we wanted Chinese. It was our first time trying this restaurant and we were most certainly not disappointed. The food was hot and delicious. There was plenty to choose from, and the service was excellent. The prices are great for a restaurant in MB ($6.95 lunch buffet/$9.95 dinner - crablegs extra) This will be our go-to Chinese restaurant at MB from now on.
