Bummz On The Beach

Delicious food and excellent service. We were visiting MB in the off-season and was looking for a place to stop for lunch. We stopped in and ordered the lunch specials, shrimp & grits and grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup. Both were excellent and well priced. Our server was so nice and attentive. You will not go wrong if you stop here to eat

Of course it was very slow/quiet being the off season. I sat at the bar and Dawn was the bartender. She asked me for my name when I sat down and called me by name throughout the night which was different compared to other places I have been where they just say "hey you, you want another one?". She was very nice and had the perfect amount of conversation and space while eating. Checked in often to make sure I was good. Offered advice when asked about menu items and drinks. I had the Bummz Burger and it was massive. Very good but definitely need a few extra hands and napkins. I also ordered a chicken sandwich to go for lunch the next day and Dawn took the time and care to package it separately to ensure it stayed fresh and was best to eat the following day. Overall I would definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Bummz is in a great location. There is an outside patio that leads directly to the beach. You can eat your food and watch the waves. The outside bar usually has a local musical playing in the summer. The atmosphere is 5 stars. The food is ok and seems to be cooked to order. For the most part, you have to add all your own condiments (i.e., mayo, mustard, etc.). The steamed shrimp is my go-to meal and never disappoints. My hubby loves the shrimp tacos. He gets extra lettuce, so don't worry about yours having this much as in my pictures. I don't like the fact that sandwiches and tacos come with chips. You have to pay extra to get fries. The restaurant does offer a discount for paying cash. So, if you'd like to save a few dollars, then stop by the ATM. Lastly, if you plan to sit inside, bring a light jacket if you're prone to being chilled. For my last visit, our waitress was Ashley. She was very friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great visit.

After a long day of golf we came here as someone recommended it. It's right on the ocean and centrally located. We walked to a guy playing live music and and the football game was on the TV, exactly what we were looking for. Food was good, although we felt the wings were a little small and the meat of the burger was a bit skimpy. Other than that, everything else was good. Drinks were well made, service was quick and it was reasonably priced. Go with confidence.
