Whitlow's is a time capsule.
If you like Russ' you will enjoy this place. The servers took great care of us and the food came out pretty quick for Sunday at dinner time.
My wife got a cheeseburger which tasted like a cheeseburger, no complaints.
I got fried perch, and this is what I'd come back for. I don't know that I've had better perch in the area and I really enjoy fried fish. If you're looking for some good fried food in an old school environment, you can't go wrong here.
Also, they still have a salad bar. How many places still have a salad bar? Not many.
Your grandpa probably loves this place. Family friendly. Don't bring somebody here if they would be offended by taxidermy because they will be very offended.

Great food, I had hot turkey sandwich w/potatoes & gravy. The service was good, but there was only one waitress that I noticed and it was very busy when I was there. I was a solo diner and the waitress was still good about checking on me.

Great friendly atmosphere and the service was also great and fast , the staff was very attentive. The perch dinner ( 6 pcs) was delicious as was the steak and perch the others had. The salad bar was fully stocked and delicious 😋. Can't wait to go back 😊.

We have family breakfast once a month...this month we had a bigger crowd (due to my mother being in hospice care) that couldn't be handled at another place. Well not only did you handle our big crowd but the food was good and the service was excellant... thank you to our server Chrissy

We stopped here with the kids on the way home from vacation and had a very pleasant dinner. Food was good for a diner, atmosphere was friendly and there were interesting animals to see that kept my kids occupied. But the service was the best I’ve had in a very long time. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Steve was incredible and made our experience so great after a long day. I wish more restaurants had this kind of service and care.
