Fat Boy Phillies

Fat Boy Phillies is an unassuming sandwich joint in Murray that delivers a tasty sandwich with friendly service. I wanted a meatball sandwich and Fat Boy delivered it on a pillowy roll in a tomato sauce that wasn’t so thick as to be gloopy, nor was it a soupy mess. It hit just right. Fine place to grab a sandwich. Looking forward to trying the chicken parm next time.

The restaurant seemed a little sketchy when we drove up, but as soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was awesome. It was clean and everything was in good order. The food was fantastic!! Our cashier asked what kinds of things we liked and then recommended the Fat Boy. We were very happy with our food. All of the employees that we interacted with were super nice. It was a great experience. I would recommend it!

Beware, behind this unassuming building lies a very assuming 12 inch Philly. And it hungers for You. I mean dang, since some of my preferred cheese steak places closed down, and subways is a salad pretending to have meat, I thought the good cheese steaks were locked away. Well, found a decent place. Good price, tasty food, loads of sodium to hurt you. You want a messy sub to eat up while dipping your onion rings in the meat and cheese, you should try this out.

We just discovered this fabulous place today. The people who run it are VERY pleasant. But their food is AWESOME!!! We split their foot long Philly Steak Sandwich with grilled mushrooms, onions & peppers. The meat is SO TENDER & has THE BEST FLAVOR!!!! An order of fries or onion rings are only $2 each!!! Can't wait to go back and try all the other yummy stuff on the menu!!!😋 Also, won't break the bank to eat here. I HIGHLY recommend!!!👍 Updated 5/18/23 UNBELIEVABLE!!!! When most places are skimping on their food now that there's so much inflation, their sandwiches & fries & onion rings are such GENEROUS portions!!! REASONABLE prices!!! Friendly & very helpful!!! I STILL LOVE this place!!!! Best kept secret in Salt Lake!!!!

My husband grew up in Jersey on Philly Cheesesteaks with Cheese Wiz(that you have to ask for, as it should be). We’ve been searching for a Philly Cheese that tastes like home. Fat Boys finally delivered! 10/10 cheese steaks! Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, speedy staff. They also have a homemade recipe for Jalapeño Mayo which is to die for! Definitely check them out!

This place is great. It’s not an “out of the box and heat up” kind of place. All of the ingredients were being cooked individually. The onion rings were perfect; crispy and you could easily bite through without pulling the onion out. The Philly cheesesteak is their specialty and was fantastic. I would absolutely eat here again.

Great place for quick service and a tasty bite! I was here for vacation and wanted to see what was around. Nothing stood out as a Utah special but Philly cheesesteak def caught my eye. I called and the owner was super nice and gave recommendations on the most popular things. I told her what I liked and she was able to get it ready for me within 10-15 mins! There is parking at the restaurant so I just drove down the street. Quick and easy. Sandwich was awesome, and onion rings were great! It also came with two sauces - one was a ketchup/Mayo combo while another was a slightly spicy green sauce. Both were great!
