My husband and I shared the vegetable tempura appetizer, and each ordered a shirts shirashi bowl. That comes with salad and soup. Both are delicious; the salad crisp with their lovely dressing, and the soup piping hot. The appetizer was yummy, and, as always, the shirashi was fresh and stunning. The bowl was colorful and as pleasing to the eye as the flavor was on my tongue.

At the very least, in the top three most authentic Japanese restaurants in all of Washington State, and quite possibly the most authentic. Don't let that scare you off! You'll recognize most of the menu, and it's a welcoming atmosphere. Totally worth the drive from Seattle!

Food was Ok, but the thing that stood out was the waitress only brought out the bill with no itemization, I then asked to see this, I realised why and that was bc we ordered hot tea for three and she charged us $3.75 each. That, in my opinion is gouging the customer when most Asian food restaurants don't even charge for hot tea, and if they do, it's only $1.
But for one pot of tea for $11.25 is greedy! It wasn't like any special tea, nor did we ask for a refill.
We will not return!

Sakuma is always delicious and the service is always great. Despite not being able to be there in person early through the pandemic, getting takeout from here made quarantine slightly better. The Mukilteo is so yummy too. I highly recommend this place.
