Starbucks

Be warned this Starbucks does not participate in the rewards program or most offers made by official Starbucks. You can earn rewards but you cannot spend the rewards here. I assumed the whole point of Starbucks was selling a consistent product and experience but this store does not participate. Might as well spend your money at a local coffee shop.

I got hired at this Starbucks and realized how unsanitary this place truly is. I previously worked at a Starbucks and know that they have high cleaning standards. This store does not follow that protocol. The pastry case had sandwiches growing mold on them. They do not change out the mocha syrup daily so it is expired and lumps up like curdled milk inside drinks. It’s dirty, grimy, and the employees make most of the drinks wrong. I wouldn’t waste my money at this location.

I have never written a negative review. Go look if you like. I went here last week and got lattes with my sister and brother. I was indecisive on how many pumps I wanted in my latte. At first I asked for half a pump. Later the barista asked me to reconfirm, half of the pumps or half a pump? I did not realize it originally came with 4 pumps. I politely asked her for 1 pump, instead of the 1/2 I initially asked for after she prompted me. I even said sorry for being a pain, I don't order vanilla lattes much. She seemed extremely off put and sour for no apparent reason. I go out of my way to be polite with people and said please and thank you with my order. The resulting latte was straight garbage. It was literally undrinkable. It tasted like the milk was intentionally burnt and it was made with basically no coffee. My brother also got a vanilla latte and his tasted fine. My sisters drink was fine. They both also tasted mine and spit it out. I believe my drink was intentionally ruined and that is purely unacceptable, I dumped it out after 1 sip. I have never dumped a coffee in my life. It felt wrong, but it tasted so horrible. We were already back in town and had to leave to get over Monarch Pass before dark. Did not want to go back on the gondola and then back again. Really disapointing. If this was a black coffee I wouldn't even bother with writing this, but this was a near $5 drink. Really lame. Will never go again.
