I had the steak sandwich. Probably the best steak dish under $10 I’ve ever had. Tater tots lived up to the paired meat. The beer selection isn’t huge, but the choices are all very good. Margaritas were tasty. Everything is very reasonably priced and about as inexpensive as it gets for happy hour on Castro street. I’ve never seen this place super crowded. It’s a new restaurant and the staff is definitely still figuring a few things out but they were all very nice and attentive and the service was fast. Atmosphere is pretty laid back; modern and sharp, but not fancy.

Ordered appetizers at 9pm - Katsu, Grilled Pork-Shrimp Spring Rolls and Brussels Sprouts. I’m not a sprout kinda guy, but they were delicious, served with shaved Parmesan. Server David answered questions re: food and asked Chris whisky questions for me.
I had a “ri (brand of rye) and a great whisky discussion with Bartender Chris.
David and Chris were Friendly, Informative, and tolerated my verbosity. 😉

Amazing drinks and bartenders! Great collection of Bourbons and Japanese whisky. The small plates are inventive in their flavors and are all delicious, the salads are really large. Very friendly staff. Clean venue all around. Slick modern decor, the only negative is it can get loud because of high ceilings. Very competitive pricing on Castro. We love going there!

The garlic spicy wings isn't spicy and don't have garlic, the flavor is teriyaki sauce.

Great drinks with knowledgeable bartenders. Started off with a arugula beet salad which had a great sauce. Had the chicken tarragon with asparagus next which was great flavors. The chicken was rubbery though which ruined the dish in a way. Had some good tater tots to snack on to end while having another drink.

The menu was broad but quite thin on the ground. As a vegetarian I only had a few options and it turned out several people in our group were just ordering something they didn't mind eating, rather than actually wanted.
A few folks had steaks, which arrived on extremely hot stones that meant that the meat literally spattered fat on adjacent diners for several minutes after arriving.

Really liked this place. Go between 4-6pm for their happy hour for $5 cocktails and beer and cheaper plates to share. We tried their wings and chops and friend Mac n cheese and they were pretty good!
Their $5 Moscow Mule is pretty awesome.

Place felt like a restaurant that couldn't find itself. The staff was very accomodating as they helped us with the menu, but overall it felt like the atmosphere was mixed and thematically was hard to decipher. Food was okay. Very very plain food and tater tots. So plain and gourmet that it was really hard to appreciate some of the food. Maybe something easier like a hotdog with different artisan meats instead?
