What a wonderful dining experience! The staff was very attentive and friendly, and the food was out of this world. The wine paired so nicely with the food as well. The wait between dishes was pretty long, so I probably won’t be dining here again any time soon. It was a lovely dinner though. Many thanks to the chef! :)

The staff at chez TJ are some of my favorite people in the peninsula. They are always so positive and accommodating, creating an excellent dining experience. All the ingredients are high quality and the chef creates fascinating combinations of flavors in the courses. Allow 3-4 hours for the full reservation. There's also an incredible wine pairing list as well as some nice cocktails (the old fashioned was excellent). We're never disappointed at Chez TJ and will be returning soon!

An elegant dining experience with a prix-fixe French inspired menu. The restaurant was excellent at dealing with dietary restrictions, and gave one of us an unaltered experience so we got to see all the clever ways they accommodated us. Service was excellent, the outside dining was cozy, and the ambiance felt like being invited into the chef's personal kitchen. Definitely for special occasions - it was a 2 1/2 hour experience from beginning to end. Thanks Chez TJ for the wonderful memories.

Wow!! I should have read some of the recent reviews before deciding on this restaurant for our anniversary!! This place can be a hit or miss depending on the seasonal menu so take this with a pinch of salt. Let me start with complements first. The service here was just what you would expect from one of the priciest dining experiences and the staff really put on a show in describing what to expect from the next bite. The wire pairings really worked and in my view rightly priced. Where I had an issue was in the quality of the food itself. This place could easily pass as a fancy art installation but not as a restaurant. I have been to many famous tasting dinners across the States and this is probably the first time i felt like flushing my hard earned money through the drain. Here are the specifics which I hope the management takes it seriously. 1. The food was bland with subtle flavors (just like someone would describe any french cuisine). However I expected a wow element which sadly I got only from the sweet courses 2. The ingredients itself were very routine and nothing exotic. The beluga caviar was the only exception which again doesn't require an experienced chef to prepare. 3. Molecular gastronomy and artistry was ok but it didn't complement the dishes. I have seen better photos in customer reviews from the past years. If I was only there for Instagram worthy dishes I would have still left disappointed. I felt like the Chef had a day off and trusted the day with some interns. 4. Lastly, the portions were tiny and I still left the place without a full stomach which was my biggest concern.

Came here for dinner outdoors, and the outside setup was great. The garden was lush, and the tables were fairly distanced. The food was quite good, with a flair for the dramatic (as in, our server brought over a lacquered box to show the truffles being offered that night). The dishes are fairly creative (such as a palate cleanser in the form of fruit punch encased in a hard chocolate shell) and quite good. The overall experience was very pleasant.

Delicious Michelin rated restaurant with a beautiful newly built outdoor patio along the restaurant garden. French style service with a smile and a backstory for each dishes inspiration and Provence. Great treat to have the local gem reopen. From their signature pommes soufflé with Kaluga caviar to fresh riffs of a watermelon juice centered bonbon it was a delightful birthday splurge and memory!
