Very nice little place, walked right in, excellent service, and the brisket sandwich was amazing. Brisket was very flavorful, smokey, sweet, not dry, not greasy and a great departure from most Alabama BBQ. Loved it. Hope to visit again soon.

Kind of hidden so it was quiet. Which was perfect. Brisket nachos are great and the staff is friends. Jewel the dog will greet you when you walk in.. so sweet!

The food was good especially the pulled pork and the brisket. I liked the sauce offerings. I enjoyed the sides as they were different from the sweet ones normally served with BBQ in this area. I really appreciated the passion of the pitmaster, he was so into the Que it made the meal for me. It is a small venue, and the menu interesting. This is Texas style BBQ.

Been twice now. Great food and super friendly service. The menu needs numbers. Pork tacos sounds like pork nachos. Same for the brisket... Tacos and nachos sound too much alike. All 4 are delicious whichever is delivered to your table. 1 guest at our table said her turkey was over brined and too salty. But since I was eating real meat and this is my review, no points lost on my account.

Really nice guys running the place and good service. If pressed I would say it is more Texas style than Alabama, but in the end they missed the mark for any Texas native. Specifically with the sausage. I can’t be 100% sure, but it tasted and looked suspiciously like Conecuh (A good sausage, no doubt, but unique to Alabama and not Texas). I’m sure this barbecue would pass for an Alabama native looking for a change from pulled pork, but if you’ve spent any reasonable amount of time in Texas enjoying brisket and smoked sausage, be warned this will not cure your home sickness.
Edit in response to the owner: Guessing you’re not from Texas or have even googled Lockhart Sausage....you’re misleading your customers.

I had my first meal here today and I must say these guys understand TX BBQ. Being from TX I have eaten all the good BBQ restaurants in my home state. These guys clearly did their homework. I will have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first but that skepticism was quelled when I smelled that familiar smell of post oak and saw that beautiful smoke ring. I have traveled the state of Alabama and have been in BBQ competitions myself and I must say this is the only BBQ restaurant in the state that I have been to that understands how we do it in Texas.

They have something called brisket nachos! My God! This dish is so good. They have a mixture of nachos and I'm guessing thin pita chips, topped with brisket, melted cheese, jalapenos and some other stuff. It's sooooo good! Lord and they have squares of Texas sheet cake (buttermilk chocolate cake) at the register. It's good too! Not as good as mine but it's prettu good. Josh the guy who usually answers the phone is awesome too!

I hate leaving a bad review because I promote anything Texas.. but I grew up in Texas for 24 years then moved here.. I was so pumped for this place and I’m sad to say it is NOTHING like Texas bbq. The brisket was sooo dry and the sausage was awful. The Queso was not Texas Queso lol at least they tried.. if in Texas try Pok-e-jos and Rudy’s (which you can find in other states).
