Long John Silver's

I visited there last night. I wish I would have gone anywhere else. I'm not sure what's happened here, I waited for 40 minutes for a fish dinner. There were 5 other groups waiting for food when I ordered. Should have been a clue, the guy at the register was talking to people across the restaurant explaining that they had no help and doing the best they could. Ordered extra hush puppies, when my meal finally arrived, was told only two hush puppies, gave me an extra piece of fish instead. No bottles of vinegar, no tarter sauce. These were offered as to go packets. I understand it's hard to get good help today. There should have been a manager there to help take care of business. It will be awhile before I return. That's too bad, it's the only fish place in town. It usually had great food and service, not anymore. No bell ringing going on in this place!!

I am from out of town and we stopped in for the All You Can Eat Sundays. We have LJS in Des Moines, so I am familiar with them. They do not have this deal in Des Moines, though. I am very pleased with my visit. The manager took my order and it was hot and came out nearly immediately. We have a big family and group and was taken care of well. I have only good things to say about the service and food. I would definitely recommend. The floor and place could definitely use a good cleaning. But given how well the other things were, it does not detract from our experience.
