Local Smoke

This is a very good BBQ spot. It's a trailer, so it can (and does) move. I had the pulled pork sandwich with beans and a special-of-the-day broccoli salad that was absolutely amazing. Good fresh tea, good looking sides. Great service with covered outside tables. I'll be back. The homemade BBQ sauce was a nice blend of sweet and tangy. I got the brownie (nearly fudge) and it was good. Plenty of food for the price.

Incredible service! Stopped here for the first time today and I will definitely go back. The service was great, the Garden Grilled Cheese was beyond AMAZING (it had tomato, pesto, and sunflower seeds on the bread crust). It was the BEST grilled cheese I have ever had (and I love grilled cheese). The workers were incredibly friendly and I had a great conversation while there. Definitely recommend and I'll definitely go back.

Their portion sizing, atmosphere, and (most of all) the quality of the food served is a cut above most anything you could find in Mt Vernon. I never knew mac n' cheese could taste this good. Their house sauce is an exceptional blend of your BBQ sauce flavors, sporting just enough spice to the. I'd love to know how they smoke their meat. My only complaint is that they currently use a stationary food truck as their kitchen while a small brewery is located within the building the truck counter faces. The outdoor seating is nice, but I feel that a more dedicated kitchen could produce multiple new dishes. Perhaps this is something they can plan for something similar to this in the future. Other than complaining that they haven't spent enough money yet, I see great things in their future.

This is the place to eat in Mt. Vernon!! I love their smoked pork and brisket....the best I’ve ever had! And the smoked mac and cheese is to die for! Also love that food is local, fresh, and great-tasting specials! The folks waiting on customers, cooking, and serving are so very nice and friendly too! LOVE this place!! I eat there at least once if not twice during the time they are open each week!

First off, let me say I have only eaten here once and I would 100% eat here again, but it would have to be a different meal. I bought the smoked mac n cheese (best selling item on their menu) and two brats. My husband and I tried the mac n cheese and thought it was terrible. We definitely expected much more and were let down. I personally felt that the mac n cheese was dry and the smoke flavor in it was overwhelming. There was also a sweet (what I assume was cornbread?) topping that felt very off as a whole. It didn't mesh well together. I did enjoy the brats. They were huge! If I had known how big they were, I would have only ordered one. Hands down, would order again. My husband ordered a steak quesadilla. It was wonderful. I liked his meal more than I liked my own. They have a lot of items on their menu that cater to different diets. For my first time, it was "meh" but I am interested in going again.
