COA has some really good food! The flavor is big and so are the portions! The meats are moist and have great seasoning and the veggies are all very fresh and moist. The burrito is full of beans rice meat and topped lightly with a great sauce that all just go together so well. The fajitas platter is big and full of flavor with great grilled veggies and plenty of meat. The restaurant is big inside and there's a bar area separate from the dining area. The staff seem friendly as well and It's easy to see why it is busy here

So I heard lots of good things about this place so I finally bit the bullet and went lol ! First and foremost the food was really good I had beef fajitas and it was enough for two people easy but at 22 bucks it should be . The meat was tender and the flavor was very good the vegetables tasted fresh . The flour tortillas were hot and fresh a generous portion of sour cream and guacamole ! Ok but ...I didn't like drinking my water from a jar ..c'mon who's idea was that !? Also the chips and salsa are my favorite part of coming to a Mexican restaurant and their chips and salsa lacked . The chips were really hard and greasy tasting and the salsa lacked in flavor and was a bit on the hot side but that could just be my preference. All in all I would highly recommend you try it for yourself ill definitely be back to try the Mole as I heard it was very good cheers !

Last night, nobody felt like cooking. I had mentioned to my Dad and Brother that I had a hard time trying to find a good plate of nachos in Upstate NY. I also mentioned that really good Mexican food was hard to come by back home. So my brother Angus, called up a friend of his from childhood, Russ. Dad and myself, along with Angus & Russ went to an amazing Restaurant, COA Mexican Eatery & Tequileria. As soon as we walked in the door we were politely greeted by our host, and shown to our table. Angel was our waiter, and he was excellent. He just didn't want his picture taken! We ordered a plate of Shredded Beef Nachos to get things warmed up. We also ordered a round of their House Margaritas. When the nachos were delivered, my heart skipped a beat, because those Nachos were a work of art, and I couldn't wait to dig in. There was plenty of guacamole and sour cream on top, with enough sliced fresh jalapenos. And believe you me, the Nachos were as good as they looked. I ordered my favorite dish, Tres Enchiladas. Three corn tortillas filled with shredded beef, rolled and covered with a green poblano crema sauce, topped with fresh greens, pickled onions and queso fresco. Served with rice & beans. When I placed my order with Angel I had asked him for extra jalapenos. He brought me three, whole roasted, jalapenos. I felt like I died and gone to heaven! Everything was outstanding! "COA Mexican Eatery and Tequileria serves made from scratch artisan cuisine in Skagit County. Named after the spade-like tool used to harvest agave plants which is used to make tequila. The owners, sister and brother, take pride in every dish using only fresh, local and natural ingredients. With flavors from their hometown, Durango, mixed with a culinary chef's perfection you are taken to their abuelita's kitchen with every bite. Our featured tequila bar showcases only 100% agave tequilas served in our crisp drinks or just to sip the fine aged flavors. We offer gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. The warm atmosphere along with the staff makes the COA experience that much more unforgettable." (Copied from their website) I was unable to finish the food I'd ordered, and believe me, I tried! I was able to take my leftovers home that was a meal unto itself. So, to wrap up my review. I highly recommend COA Mexican Eatery and Tequileria if you are anywhere in the Skagit valley. You will thank me later! Cheers, Art Harris

Wow! Exceptional food & experience. Best ceviche I’ve had since I was in Baja! Conquistador pork dish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Chile Relleno good and more comparable to what I’ve had in Mexico. A bit too much egg for me. Love the Peruvian beans! No room for dessert, but they looked delicious. The house made chips and salsa are some of the best I’ve had.

I was not that excited about how noisy the restaurant was at first the seating was cafeteria style but they did have a big fire going and looking through the menu there didn't seem to be a lot to choose from but most likely because they pay attention to what they are serving as more important than quantity. When we got our food I was blown away our service was also outstanding if we are in the area again we definitely will return . Best tasting Mexican food I've had, fresh and not overcompensating with portions just perfect!

GOLDEN SEAL OF APPROVAL. I can't explain to you the level of happiness this place brought me.. being up In Northern WA I thought there was absolutely no way the food here was going to be that good... I apologize because it was phenomenal! I knew as soon as I had the chips and salsa that this place was about to be something different.... Growing up in Southern California has ruined me when it comes to quality Mexican food..good... and in the 5 years I've lived here I have found a lot of good places.. but nothing that honestly reminded me of what I loved.. until now! Drinks were amazing, the Carne was seasoned beautifully and everything I ate sent me into a seriously happy place. Recommend 9999999/10 to eat here... seriously your missing out if you dont.

Great atmosphere!! Food was a fantastic flavor explosion that made my mouth do a happy dance. We had the pollo en mole that was unlike any other mole I've ever had in a great way, tasted like someone's grandma had made it, the depth of flavor was an adventure. The chile relleno had poblano crema and queso fresco, it was delicious. Great selection of tequilas and Mexican beer. We sat were we could see all the food coming out to other diners and I already know what I want to try next time, the molcajete!! Looking forward to next time.
