My husband had the fish fry and I had a chicken Ceasar salad. Both meals were delicious and prepared perfectly. Prices were great especially for the amount of food offered. Will dine here again.

My family and I stoped here before going to Letchworth. It was our first time eating here, and we will definitely remember it when we are in the area. The food was great, and our waitress was wonderful. Everyone has commented on how great she was.

We dined at High Banks Tavern on a recent trip to the area. We were staying within walking distance of the restaurant which was convenient after a five-hour drive. My husband enjoyed the Letchworth burger served with Cole slaw. I had a French dip with tater tots. The roast beef was good; however, the tots were tasty but fell apart when picked up and were more like hash browns.

I ordered a taco pizza and mac salad. The server was nice, food wasn't bad but I didn't order peppers or olives on my pizza .... and the Mac salad was a small serving for the price...overall ok but not sure I would order it again

Nice place right on Main St in Mt Morris. Sat outside and the server was nice enough to even drop down the awnings for us. Good variety of decent tavern fare- soups, salads , sandwiches and even fish fry on Fridays, although I did not try that. The chicken sandwich was very good.

In the vibrant tapestry of eateries dotting the journey from Toronto to New York, the High Banks Tavern in Morris stands out not just as a mere pit-stop, but as a delightful culinary experience. My companions and I found ourselves serendipitously at its doors on an unexpected detour, and what a fortuitous turn of events that was!
From the outset, the ambiance of the tavern exuded a warm, welcoming charm. It was not the sterile, impersonal environment of the mega fast-food chains. Here, it felt as if every brick and timber had a story to tell. The subtle blend of classic tavern aesthetics with a touch of modern sophistication had us anticipating a meal that would be reflective of that blend.
And we weren't disappointed.
Our choices for the evening included a burger, a Reuben sandwich, and pulled pork. While these might sound like standard fare for many, the craftsmanship and passion poured into each dish by the chefs at High Banks Tavern elevated them to an entirely new echelon.
The burger was a masterclass in balance and flavor. Each bite was a melding of perfectly seasoned beef, fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and a bun that was the epitome of softness, yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. I've had my fair share of burgers on my travels, and this easily ranks among the top.
The Reuben sandwich was nothing short of a revelation. The corned beef was succulent, with a flavor profile that was rich and deeply satisfying. Paired with the tang of the sauerkraut and the creamy Swiss cheese, it made for a sandwich that would make any deli aficionado nod in appreciation.
And then there was the pulled pork. Slow-cooked to perfection, it was a symphony of smokiness and tenderness. The sauce, neither too sweet nor too tangy, complimented the pork in a dance of flavors that was nothing short of mesmerizing.
Service was prompt, attentive, and genuinely friendly. It's clear that High Banks Tavern is not just about serving food, but about creating a memorable experience for every diner.
In conclusion, if your travels ever find you meandering through Morris, NY, do yourself a favor and make a stop at High Banks Tavern. Whether you're escaping the hustle and bustle of big cities or just in need of a sumptuous meal, this is the place to be. It's not just a tavern; it's an experience. And one that I'm incredibly grateful to have had.

Tried the Irish Nachos and if you like reubens and Tots, this was an interesting twist! So creative and delicious! Will be back for another helping! And their fish fry is outsiding! Large portion, cooked perfectly with coated fries and coleslaw. Great place.

Visited during a softball tourney weekend! Great pizza! Ordered as a pickup and order was filled promptly and wait staff were very nice! While we didn't stay for in- house dinner... the atmosphere and decoration of the tavern was on-point and very welcoming! Definitely recommend!
