Decided to drive an extra 30 mins to try this location instead of the one I usually go to in West Hampton. Worst takeout experience I’ve ever had. Both burgers were supposed to come with bacon, no bacon on either. Very skimp with the onions as well. Requested no pickles & extra pickles were given. REQUESTED NO PINK well done!!! as you can see we were given undercooked meat on BOTH burgers. Never again & will be calling for a refund.

Picked up some delivery orders here for DoorDash. It's hit or miss sometimes with the staff. Seems like once the rush is over they send most of their staff home as soon as possible, so it can be a challenge to get tended to even though it's not busy. Way better than Chili's though, no doubt. Food is average. Service is average. Atmosphere is typical. Three stars, just my opinion.

Waiter was nice, but the food was not as great as I expected. I ordered the bourbon chicken and shrimp with a side of broccoli. The shrimp and broccoli was really good but the chicken was not at all. It was hard to cut, hard to eat but juice at the same time! Never in life have I had a hard juice chicken. It really killed my mood to eat. They definitely need to work on that

Host was no where when we walked in. After almost 10 minutes, he walks towards us, no greeting, simply asked “for two?” I said “yes please” he proceeds to walk us to basically a “half booth” with a chair on the other side. Place was far from full, I asked him if we could get an actual full booth, to which he replied, “well you have to give me a few minutes” & walked away. I did see empty booths behind this horrible table he got for us, there was also a server attending that section. We simply walked out and drove 6 minutes down to Fridays, where thankfully, we had a much better experience. We had been driving for over an hour and needed something to eat, with all the competitors near them, you would think they would do better in making paying customers feel welcomed.

Been here before and usually it's okay. But this time was a joke. I accepted the fact that they were understaffed and patiently waited the 20-30 mins. After about 20 or so they come and tell me that they can't possibly serve me tonight. I'm one person! And sorry doesn't cut it when I wait nearly a half hour. I'm sure the other groups weren't happy either. Having one server and almost no cooks is unacceptable. Where else can I go now at this time of night?

Since food at Applebee's is fairly consistent, this review focuses on the experience at this location on Route 73 near the Turnpike and I-295. It is convenient to a number of hotels and residential neighborhoods in this exurban area across the river from Philly. Mix all these people together and you get some entertaining interactions in the bar area at times. Service at the bar is excellent, thanks to the fast, friendly and efficient Kristen, who remembers everyone, and is patient with even the most indecisive customers. I believe she has been here almost every night I have been in this area over the last few years. Service in the dining area can be spotty, as mentioned by other reviewers, possibly due to the labor shortage (also evident at other restaurants in the area). This is a real phenomenon at the current time. Aesthetically the dining area is more inviting at nearby Miller's Ale House or Chickie's & Pete's further down Route 73. Parking is plentiful thanks to the extended lot in back. If you just want a non-deep fried snack, try the house salad. It's great every time.
