This is an awesome place! We had our wedding today here as well as our reception and Joanne and Jim (the owners) know how to cater an event. They went out of their way to accommodate all of our wishes! We had a brunch style reception which included an omelet station (made by Curtis) that was outstanding and the brisket was right on point! Thank you Jim Pinkerton for making that brisket Texas style. We also had sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, Texas toast, sausage gravy and biscuits, baked oatmeal, fruit, danishes, muffins, cupcakes, cake and more! So if you are looking to hold any kind of catered event, give The Gathering Place a call! Thank you to the Pinkerton and the entire staff for an outstanding well done job! You made our wedding day so very special!
I highly recommend the Gathering Place. Jim and Joanne and the rest of the staff are very warm, kind and welcoming people. All of their food is amazing but my personal favorites are Joanne's Carrot Cake and any of her fresh baked breads.
We have our company meetings at the Gathering Place a couple times per year. The employees love the food and talk about it days before and days after! The quality and quantity is excellent. Joanne is easy to work with and they make our meetings go smoothly. No worries! And provide us with a screen to use for our presentations. We are thankful for a place to meeting 1/2 way between our Lancaster and Camp Hill stores. And oh those sticky buns!!!! Yum!

The Gathering Place catered my daughter's wedding reception on New Year's Eve at Harvest View Barn, Elizabethtown. Joanne was extremely patient in the planning process while details were hammered out. She worked very hard to make sure we would be pleased, and pleased we were! She, Jim and her team provided a scrumptious meal for our guests. Our daughter's only request was for ham balls (don't ask!), and they were delicious. In addition, the home baked artisan breads (especially the iced cherry bread and cinnamon bread) were wonderful, and the hand-carved prime rib was done to perfection! It made for a very impressive and enjoyable dinner for our guests. Thank you, The Gathering Place!

We had our daughter's wedding reception here during covid. It was wonderful! JoAnn and Jim (owners) were really great with all of the extra details and restrictions necessary during covid. We did have to wear masks except when eating. There is an outside area that was very nice for guests to take a" breather".
Joann and Jim communicated very well leading up to our event. One thing that I was very grateful for was the extra help Joann was able to provide...the wedding cake we had purchased in our hometown was smashed a little while getting it their. Joann was able to fix it and it was even more beautiful than when we originally got it!

I have been to The Gathering Place several times through the years (several banquets and a wedding reception). The food is excellent and there is beautiful, cozy atmosphere. The proprietors, Jim and Joanne, are very warm and friendly people.
The Gathering Place in Mount Joy is a very nice little spot for meetings, weddings, or banquets. They have a stage inside with a decrotive ceiling, a kitchen for making all the food you require, and a nice little patio outside. While you are outside, walk around the garden area and enjoy the views.
The locals here were very friendly and kind.

I have been here many times in the past. The food will never disappoint, it's always fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. It's a venue foe banquets, weddings, parties and today was a National Prayer breakfast.
The Gathering Place also offers take out meals Fridays and holiday packs for Christmas, Thanksgiving Easter etc.
Great place, great food and great service. We have been here several times for sports banquets and Cub Scout/Boy Scout banquets. Love the variety of the food and the staff is very polite.
We had my sisters Life Celebration here. Joanne is the best! She was so helpful and made what was a rough time, a little easier. Its such a nice, quiet, private place. The food was SO GOOD! Thank you for everything!!!
Today was our daughter’s christening celebration. My husband and I are so happy to have chosen The Gathering Place for the luncheon. Everything was just perfect for our small group and so was the price! Joanne was great in responding to our questions and providing information for us to review. When she talked with my husband about tables and arrangements, she even thought to ask us if we wanted pink napkins, which we didn’t think about, and that little attention to detail really helped to make the luncheon feel all that more special. The servers were so attentive and very helpful. The food was delicious and so well laid out. We will definitely be using The Gathering Place for future events as long as they aren’t booked. Thank you Joanne and the wonderful servers for everything today!!
