Fun family outing! Lots of games, the bowling was great and the food was good too! The space is really big so we felt like we had plenty of room for our family.

Went to the Mermaid with the youngsters for New Years Eve and had a nice time. The bowling is excellent and everything was neat & clean. The service to our table was excellent as well. They have a small arcade area and my kids had fun! We do not bowl often but when we do we go to the Mermaid as it has 28 lanes.

The Mermaid doesn’t look the grandest from the outside, but it has an event center with two ballrooms. We chose the Coral Bay Ballroom since it had been recently remodeled, and it was BEAUTIFUL. Perfect spot for a wedding reception that didn’t break the bank! They did have a food/beverage minimum that we were required to meet with their catering company, but we didn’t have an issue with that. Natallia worked with us, and despite some email delivery issues, and having a LOT on her plate due to COVID, she made sure everything worked out well for us. For instance, the menu prices had been raised from the time we booked to the next spring when we were choosing the buffet, and she gave us the old prices without a problem. She created a room layout plan for us so all the tables, easels for signs, card/gift tables, etc were right where we wanted them. The room also came with linens, silverware and napkins which was helpful, and we were able to order some appetizers for cocktail hour. They had a bar available, which we didn’t use, but I know there were plenty of options. The food was delicious and I know the guests enjoyed it!

Ordered fried pickle chips and they came with no dipping sauce, what does a Midwesterner do? Asks for some sides of ranch of course... THAT THEY CHARGED ME $1 EACH FOR.. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed... In reality, this place is pretty cool. Just didn't expect to pay for ranch, man.

I attended a wedding here recently and the service was horrendous! The staff were taking plates of food away from the elderly and kids while they were still eating. The Manager repeatedly asked the Bride if they could shut down the bar starting around 8:45pm when the Bride said no, she was asked again a few more times. The wedding wasn't rowdy and No one was too intoxicated so there was no reason for them to shut it down. Especially when the couple paid over $10,000 to have the bar and hall open until midnight. I would definitely think twice about booking this venue. It has seriously declined

Ate here on 4/2/22 because hubby had to bowl for state tourney. Thought it'd be easier just to stay there. In hind sight, it would have been much better to go elsewhere. Something was wrong with each of our orders, but Kaylee never returned. Tap beer was flat. They were busy. I get that. I worked in restaurants for many years. I had lots of patience. But this was bad. She finally came back after we were done eating what we could and asked for a bottle beer and the bill. The bill came with the bottle charged. Didn't see her again. After 20 minutes, I finally went to the bar to pay and found the bottle had been sitting there the whole time. Another 5 minutes, she finally brought me that and took payment. While on the lanes for 6 games, the team had to flag someone down for drinks each time. In the end, we will not be back to eat. If you're going to host a tournament, have the staff to cover or shut down the sit down dining if you're wanting to cater to the bowlers.

Bowling part was fun - the staff were decent. The guy on the floor with the beard was great. The low star rating is for the terrible food and service at the bar and restaurant. The bar was not busy - had two maybe three people sitting around it and two people sitting in a booth. It was staffed with two bartenders and a waitress that was only serving the bowling league so anyone else that was bowling had to go to bar and order their own food. Took 15 minutes at a not busy bar to be acknowledged and get my food order in (the waitress told me she was getting her own drinks too so the bartenders were literally not busy). The bartender was telling me they were low staffed which could be true but I work in the service industry myself and the number of customers with two bartenders did not warrant that terrible service. The 15 minutes I waited cut into our 1.5 hour pre registered bowling time, at $60 I want every minute I paid for. Ordered our food; it came out and it was terrible. The burgers were super dry, the buns were dry and the tots were mediocre at best. I ordered the Cowboy burger with the bbq sauce on the side and it came out with it on the hockey puck of a burger. I was so mad I paid $41 + $8 tip for terrible service and even worse food. Even my 13 year old said her burger was terrible but she was so hungry she choked half of it down. My other two kids barely touched their food. Came home to the worse stomach ache - which I can only attest to the terrible food as that’s the only thing I’ve eaten and got the stomach ache immediately after. Bottom line - go for the bowling; eat before or after elsewhere.

We went here for my husband bowling team and after we went to eat cause we were hungry. we went to dining area picked a table that was clean and waited cause there wasn’t any other table to sit at. There was money left at the table and one of the guys told the waitress and she came and grab the money for the tip. And walked away. Didn’t say I’ll be right with or anything. She kept going to other table. Next to us. They were cleaning tables and both waitress knew we where there. New costumers came and assisted them. After Waiting for awhile and not even getting acknowledged we decided wasn’t worth our time to eat there. We even seen how the brought out food and was asking people if I was there food. I understand it’s a bowling tournament but pretty said sitting there for a long time not even getting waited on. And the waitress came to our table just to get the tip money. And the other waitress was kept going to table next to us and kept on going back and forth to that table. And it was more goofing off then working. Don’t think I’ll ever eat here. Horrible Service. Oh and when we got up from table they cleaned it instantly. So yeah they knew we where there. Glad we decided to eat somewhere else. Somewhere that deserved our business.
