So happy we stopped by this place. It was Authentic and Cozy. The chips and salsa were delicious! I had a Peach Margarita that went perfect with everything. Everything came out quick and hot. Our waitress was very friendly and kept checking on us 😊 can't wait to go back!

This is a must stop when you are in the area!! The service was the best ever and the food was great. The menu has so many options that I would order next time. I highly recommend the Mexican hot chocolate! Next time I end up in Illinois I will be back!

The food here is delicious and the drinks are fantastic! A true, authentic Mexican restaurant that feels like home. The staff are kind and the owner greeted us right away. We were taken care of by our waitress, and the lead cook made a special order for me...just delicious! About halfway through our meal we were treated to a complimentary shot (of tequila, of course). Tasty food, delicious drinks, and a wonderful, homey ambiance - check it out. I recommend the steak tacos, chimichangas, shrimp cocktail, and the huachinango. The chips and salsa (complimentary) go great with the margaritas. I'll be back very soon. Support this small business by ordering direct. I also believe they have unbeatable lunch specials.

The food is consistently excellent. If you want great Mexican food in the MG area this place is great. If you want carry out DON'T order through grubhub. Who ever set up their GH menu did a terrible job and it barely reflects their actual menu in scope of menu, names of items, and what comes on those items. My guess it was a GH consultant who took advantage of a restaurant needing to.expand their reach during COVID. Call them directly and order. It will be delicious.

Inexpensive lunch buffet with salad bar and about 5 covered chafing pans with 2 choices each, plus soup. Food quality varied from OK to below average and greasy, with the salsa and chips being among the best things. Nothing was labeled, so you don't always know what you are trying. Server (may also be owner) was very nice, but was running the bar, .managing the food stations, bussing tables, etc. It was hard to get refills on drinks or new silverware or ask a question. Parking was easy in the strip mall or adjacent side street.

We were seated in a booth that had huge holes on both sides, when we moved to a table the waitress was visibly annoyed. Our food came quickly but my cheese enchilada was made with Munster cheese and the chicken enchilada was very dry. They must be short staffed since we got there at 7:00 and did not get out our check until 8:30 and the waitress was literally running and almost ran into people a few times. Both my friend and I ended up getting sick about an hour after we got home. I would not go back there again that is for sure.

For a start the restaurant ambiance was dark and needs serious updating take me back to 80’s look. We ordered some tacos which was greasy, some camaron soup that was swimming in greasy tasteless broth that seem to have been cooked fresh few days ago, enchiladas in a with cheap cheese on top and all served in a .35c store brought corn tortillas.. I felt sick after eating.. never again will we be going back to this place.

My family has been coming by this Mexican restaurant for over twenty years. The owner always goes above and beyond to make every experience memorable. Cannot go wrong with a shot of tequila to end the meal either. They make one of the best Milanesa de Pollos in the area. For those of you that do not speak Spanish this is a breaded chicken breast. It is cooked perfectly and the flavor is amazing. Cannot tell you how many times I have been here but 75% of the time this dish is my go to. They also have great fajitas and per most restaurants and endless flow of chips and salsa. If your in Morton Grove and hankering for Mexican food El Sol will treat you like family.
