Enjou

If you're old enough or search the web, you'll find the legendary hot fudge was made and served at Gruning's ice cream parlour at a couple New Jersey locations. It was dark and chewy once the hot fundge hit the frozen ice cream. There was nothing like it, unless you made it at home using pure ingredients. Once Grunings went out of business, probably in the '70s or perhaps early '80s, searching for good hot fudge became a search for the "Holy Grail of Hot Fudge." It existed nowhere. I began to wonder if it was my imagination or whether there really existed in today's world the hot fudge to die for. Then, one day years ago, while window shopping in Morristown, I stumbled upon a chocolate shop whose name called to me: Enjou. Spending money in a chocolate shop never led to an argument. This story has a happy ending, and it's Enjou. There is no hot fudge in the world as good. My only comlaint is it doesn't come in a 1 pound jar, but perhaps that's a good thing. I'm down 40 pounds, and if Enjoy's fudge came in a 1 pound jar, I might be up 40. It's that good.
