Appetizer and dessert were delicious(Cigar and White Chocolate Raspberry bread pudding). Main courses were okay. My husband ordered the steak stroganoff, the meat was very fatty and there was just a pool of grease in his bowl. My lobster Mac and cheese was okay. It lacked flavor. Our waitress was nice though we had to remind her of waters a few times. Overall we had nice experience.

I was really looking forward to a nice dinner with my husband. We did carry out. We couldn't use gift card online so I had to call to set up. Girl on the phone was really sweet and helpful but when I got home with the food my steak was ordered medium rare and it was cooked medium well.and the green beans were a little under done. Was kind of disappointed

Great Staff, friendly, and so kind. Food was amazing. This is a five star restaurant in a small town. Meats are humanly sourced. Just an absolute gem. I can't wait to go back. Owner is absolutely beautiful and knowledgeable in this complex food industry.

My wife and I are here for Valentine's Day. This is our first time here. The waitress was fantastic, dinner was excellent. Dessert was just as good. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of our dinner but I will share dessert. So if you find yourself near Morris, IL. this restaurant is a definite must try, we highly recommend Morris Chop Shop.
Please be safe in your travels. Peace out.
Date night for my wife and I tonight, it's our second time visiting the Morris Chop Shop. Once again our waitress ( Joslyn)was absolutely wonderful. The appetizers were excellent calamari then roasted beets salad sorry, no we did not get a picture of the appetizers but we did add a picture of the perfectly cooked rib eye steak. 2 glasses of port then ended dinner with a piece Tropical Carrot Cake. Great ending to a perfect dinner.

I never had a bad experience here until last night. I ordered the filet with baked potato and green beans. My dinner came lukewarm. The server gave me an attitude and returned it to the kitchen. 15 minutes later, and after my boyfriend finished his meal, she returned with my dinner. The green beans were cold. I notified the server, and she offered to warm them up. I declined since I didn't want my dinner microwaved. She gave me another attitude and walked away. I ate half my potato, and my steak was dry. The gorzonla crust on the file that I paid extra for was all panko breadcrumbs. After receiving the bill and seeing there was not a discount on my dinner, we requested the manager and got another attitude from the server. The manager explained that our table must be cursed because the night before, they had problems with a patron at our table not paying for their meal... I can only assume this was her attempt at humor; however, it was not funny. She also defended the server's attitude by telling us she wasn't upset with us, just with the situation. The manager then explained that the reason the green beans weren't hot was because they didn't overcook them. I tried explaining that I cook green beans at home and they are hot on my plate and not overcooked, but she explained they do things differently here...I added that I was disappointed that a discount couldn't be applied to our meal. She offered dessert; however, we declined. She said that was all she could do. Sorry Morris Chop Shop, all I can do is take my business elsewhere.

Words cant Express how amazing the food was. Whether it was appetizer, entree, or dessert, it was the best preparation of food i have ever tasted. Hats off to the chef(s) and staff

From the outside, I thought this would be a lovely redone old historic building, and I'm sure at some point it was redone, but not recently enough.
Immediately upon entry your nose is assaulted by the smell of old burnt Tabacco of cigars and cigarettes in the air.
We were questioned if we had reservations, which was surprising we might need them in such an empty place at dinner time on a Saturday night. But we did, as we were celebrating my birthday dinner.
We are originally seated just outside their party room, where they did have a party going on. That tiny party room was stuffed with people who were spilling into the regular dining area. The hostess nudges the people into the party room and closes the doors to separate them from the rest of the guests. The door did little to cover their noise. Upon the hostess suggestion, she research us to a quieter table by the door. This is a wobbly table that has their logo airbrushed tastefully on it. My husband fixes the wobble.
Our server, Trish, was wonderful. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the offering at the establishment.
Drinks: We look over their menu and cocktail offerings. In the end my husband is the only one who ordered alcohol. His whiskey drink was such a heavy pour he needed a coke to help cool it down. He said it was obvious that they are using lower grade liquor with how bad the burn was in his drink, but still charge top tier prices. Some of my party orders Cokes, water and a lemonade. None of which we drank because that same smell of the air transferred to the ice. Which made it undrinkable.
No appetizer was ordered
For dinner: I ordered the ribeye, medium rare. I expected for 12 oz to have a fairly thick cut of meat. This was somewhere close to maybe 3/4 of an inch, if I am to be generous. I received a very medium piece of meat. With how thin it was medium rare would have been impossible.
My husband had the 10 oz
