Very good place. It is a little pricey. The sushi is very good. They should offer steak or some type of carving station for the price.

The restaurant has a beautiful vibe and a great selection of sea food, just as you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. The food was overall good but the sushi was great, phenomenal. The service was really good and got to meet the owner who let me and my girlfriend take some ice cream to go free of charge. The price is the only thing I would change because it doesn't seem to meet the expectations for many people but if money is not a problem for you then this restaurant is definitely a good option. I'd visit it again.

Friendly and competent staff. Food plentiful and fresh and well prepared. Definitely worth the money if you’re a sushi lover.

Great selection of Japanese food, a bit pricey but overall amazing quality and many sushi options to choose from, a place to go back!

The atmosphere at this all-you-can eat buffet was pleasant. There was plenty of space on this weekday evening. The food was presented nicely, and there were a fair number of options. The food dishes were getting low as I was there in the later evening. There was still plenty for me to have a satisfactory meal. The sushi bar had some delicious options.
May not be the best choice if you are looking for a budget dinner: Paid $32.45 pre-tax, pre-tip per person for a weekday dinner. But it's a pleasant atmosphere and has tasty food if that's in your price range.

We drove 35 mins from NYC to try this buffet restaurant based on a word of mouth from a friend. We had high expectations of this place since it is hard to find a good buffet around where we live. Indeed, it's better than the average Joe buffet we go. This place is relatively clean and roomy. Sushi in sushi bar look fresh and presentable, although some sushi have way more rice than fish. The rest of the food seems to be on par with other similar buffets. We went for lunch and cost significantly lower than dinner so we expected to have less choices. The big plus is that they offer 10% off when paying in cash which is a good deal. Overall, the experience is not bad.

Update: Yes, they are still open. Disregard all the people saying they are closed - they have no clue.
Food is still as good as ever. They did revamp their Hibachi a bit so you can select all the ingredients yourself now.
I love Minado chain.
I used to go to one in Pennsylvania a lot, when I was in the area, and was very happy to find one not too far away in NJ as well.
Sushi is very good quality here. Not sushi-restaurant quality, of course, but then again, it's not what you are paying for.
During dinner, there are crab legs, which people seem to love.
Personally, I go for the sushi, salads, and hot food.

Ab. Solute. Ly. Delicious. Lunch is more than enough, but dinner is definitely worth the extra cost. Came for the first time for dinner and it was definitely worth it, crab legs/hibachi/crepes were top notch. Definitely would recommend.

Hands down the best way to do Minado is go for lunch. For the price, lunch is 5 stars and a must visit for any sushi lover. However, dinner is much more expensive, but that is to be expected. I have been coming here for years and the sushi has always been good. I love the fact that you can leave rice on your plate without a penalty as compared to other buffets. They have a large selection of delicious salads. The oysters and crab legs are also good. I'm not big on deserts to begin with, but it seems the desert quality has gone down hill. They use to serve Oreo cheesecake and other more decadent small cakes, but now have cheaper less desirable options. The dinner price is more expensive compared to other sushi buffets, but they also provide a pretty large selection of hot and cold food. If you can eat a lot than the dinner price is worth its value.

3 stars for food. Sushi is good, but takes forever for Salmon rolls to come out. Customers act as if they’ve never eaten salmon and restaurant slows down the serving as if customers don’t pay enough. All clams had sand in them today, poor quality. Other dishes are clean and tasteful. Extra star for good service. Just being fair.
