Stopped by to recon the spot mid afternoon, liked the scene. Made reservations at the bar for 630pm that evening. Recommend reservations for more than 4 so they can prepare a couple tables to accomidate. They also had a large party of 16 at the next tables. Wait staff was on point for both groups, food portions are generous, even if you order the Prohibition portions. Quiet enough to carry a low table conversation, but families are welcomed too. Prices were fair. We all liked the place.
I had the seafood fettuccine and it was scrumptious. My friend had the chicken pot pie and it had a good flavor but the top crust wasn't done. Staff was attentive and friendly. We would go back
A very nice long standing Italian restaurant in my neighborhood and now they have a lunch buffet for just under ten dollars. I was served quickly and seated and did the buffet today. I really like ordering off menu too but decided to try buffet. There are gloves provided and sanitizer for buffet. It's a small buffet with just a few choices but really all you need for a good lunch. The fried ravioli is delicious. My favorite thing from buffet and there's a plate of brownies for dessert. I live the slow jazz played here the place supposed to be an old time speak easy place. This is always a good restaurant for me and I am always satisfied going here.
Our New favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is awesome a lot of old 1900s Era items, I had the cats meow( shrimp and crab with wild rice) wife had the walleye bread both where delicious. Wife loved chocolate covered cherry martini she love it last but not least the termisu was amazing.
We stopped into this classic joint. The interior is dated, but full of snazzy, jazzy, club-like character. It definitely has a cool atmosphere. The only thing missing was a band. The service was excellent. The staff was very polite and professional. I had the lasagna. It was a large serving of hot, cheesy, flavorful goodness. The sauce was robust, rich, and full of flavor. Paired well with our appetizers of egg plant chips and bread sticks. I don't remember what the lady had, but I stole a couple bites and it was fantastic. Our little lady had the mac-n-cheese, which for a kids dish, was flavorful and a large portion.
I read a few bad reviews of the place. Definitely not the experience we had. We will be return customers for sure!
It's hard to believe that my former favorite restaurant is closing, after all these years; when it opened in late 1986. It was a lot of fun to dine there. I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, the 1930s jazz, and amazing food; including friendly staff. I used to be a regular there, until the pandemic hit, and were only open for takeout. When dining opened back up, I was surprised and disappointed, with the disappearance of my favorite menu items and how much their food has changed. However, their marinara sauce and desserts were always delicious. I'll have to make one more visit, before they bid farewell. Thank you, for your many years of friendly service, and delicious vittles.
Quaint decor even a car inside. Went for Sunday brunch. Safe set up providing gloves for people before serving their food. Plenty seating. Full bar with seating there. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Large parking lot and a cute patio with a pergola
Lots of food! Fairly cheap for how much food we got! The food wasn’t anything too special, but it was decent. Waitress was super friendly! The atmosphere was very cool to sit in! It was fairly empty when we went, so that made me feel more comfortable during the pandemic. We would probably go again!
Great atmosphere, a historic and Moorhead landmark restaurant. It's been 5 years since we've been here and it didn't disappoint! First time I ate here was 28 years ago. It still has the class. The fettuccine had lots of sauce and my husbands prime rib was one of the best he's had. We also had their eggplant chips. The portion was huge. You can taste nostalgia in every bite!
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, from our waiter to the decor we felt very welcome and appreciated. The Chicken Parmigiano with Fettuccine was amazing, the Alfredo sauce was without question the best I have ever had.
