Denny's

Sissy was wonderful and I had asked her about the pot roast melt and she said is was delicious, defentintly was. Very happy with my food and service

We Try Harder ...???. I was going to try a different restaruant in Mooresville last night but ran out of time so I stopped at Denny's. Haven't been to a Denny's in years but it along with Waffle House and IHOP were frequent stops in the early AM back when I was in College.

All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. The food was typical diner and well prepared and served in an orderly fashion, with two minor gliches, the service was excellent and while the decor was typical Denny's, the place was very clean and well maintained.

For dinner, I ordered the Country Fried Steak which came with two sides, For the sides, I chose hasborwns along with dipping vegetables as they call them otherwise known as crudites. As I mentioned, there were two minor glitches with the service and this was the first. When the Host seated me, he took my beveredge order and prompty forgot got it. Fortunately after I told my service that the Host had already taken by beverage order, he had the presence of mind to check and find out that he had not placed the order.

Food came out in prompt order and it was very good. Courty Fried Steak was not overcooked and not greasy, hashbrowns were propertly cooked and not burned and the crudites were nice and fresh although the ranch dressing was a bit thin which made a mess.

Oh and bye the way, the Coffee is Great.

Only other glitch came when it was time to pay. Server brought the check and I asked if I was suppose to pay him or pay at the front. He indicated that normal procedure was to pay at the front but that he normally would take care of the check if asked but right now, he was too busy. He should have just stopped at "pay at the front" because the way he phrased it, I was no longer a customer buy had become an inconvience. Not the message he intended to convey.

The reason I titiled this review is because the staff reminded my of the old Avis Commercial tag line, "We try harder" With the exception of the two minor incidents mentioned above, they did try harder than most other places I've been to earlier. I rarely look at other reviews until after the fact but in this case I did. Low ratings and only one review from someone who said they did not like it but at the same time, described it as a "Fun Place" prompted me to go ahead and write a full review. Otherwise I would have just noted it as a " I like it" vote.

If you're traveling down I-77, particulary after hours and you're looking for someplace to stop, rest a bit, have a good cup a coffee and a bite to eat, you might want to try this place out. It's really pretty good and the staff does do an excellent job of trying to please.

I've eat here many many times so on July 25th 2021 I came back again . At first I questioned if they were open or not due to it was dark out side and the parking lot was just as dark. I got out of my vehicle and tried the door which was open. I got a verbal conformation they were open. We were quickly seated and promptly waited on by a warm smiling face. He quickly took our order then returned with our coffee and drinks. A very short time ate later our meals arrived and it was delicious. It was hot and fresh. The Restaurant was clean and so was the bathroom. I only gave 4 stars because of the outside lighting. I'll be back

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. The food was amazing, came out fast and hot. Refills where completed before I even asked for them. There is no better way to enjoy a meal quick and efficiently that this location.
