I love this place. Breakfast is inexpensive and absolutely delicious! The sweet tea is excellent and the onion rings are amazing. Almost everything we have tried has been great. The service is fast and friendly. Andrew is my favorite waiter. He is awesome!
My one warning would be to just do yourself a favor and avoid the Chicken Parmesan plate. It is not chicken parm like I know it. It doesn't taste good at all, but that is literally my only complaint about the place. I love going there.
We came in around 11:15 on Sunday morning with our friends from out of town, expecting breakfast. We were disappointed that we missed the time by 15 mins and were going to leave. The wonderful waitresses asked us to wait while they talked to the kitchen and came back with breakfast menus for all of us! We had 7 kids and 4 adults and were well taken care of! Our breakfast was delicious and the service was even better. We can't wait to go back for lunch.
I love Isabel's café me and my family go there weekly for breakfast or lunch both my parents dining in the bar area which is lovely they have TV and music that plays while we eat my parents get Mamosa and screwdrivers while I stick to Coke I normally get the Mike's Benedict and it is wonderful Walmart parents normally get country ham or liver mush or sometimes at lunch my parents will get their chicken quesadillas and I will get the grilled chicken salad I would recommend this place to anybody I love their food and such big portions for little money it is a great deal I would recommend this place to all of my friends
Pleasantly surprised!. My boyfriend and sister and I stopped in there on our way to the lake. We weren't sure about it because of all the reviews (we live by yelp and urbanspoon) but we were pleasantly surprised!
Our waitress had been there a while and was awesome. We each had a water and a coffee and they were never empty! I got the breakfast special, two eggs and bacon (my boyfriend got sausage) and an awesome warm biscuit and my sis got some french toast.
It was super cheap and super good! I really liked the plants outside as well.
We will definitely go back there.
Great place to dine!. I love Isy Bells Cafe, from the food , the atmosphere, the service, its amazing considering the LOW prices for HOME COOKING FRESH FOOD!
They buy their vegetables from local Mooresville farms! Nowhere does that! They do, and keep there prices down! Their homed biscuits are so fluffy and amazing! They do breakfast, lunch, and diner right and that is rare to find!
Their lunch specials are always so amazing and fresh ... once you pick your favorite things you will learn which day of the week they make them and can make it a habit to go back on your favorite dish days!
Their seafood os actually fresh, the grilled grouper is solo good, and the salmon too! The fish tacos are to die for!!!
Such good portions served at Isy's! The service is always done with a smile!
Lets not forget the sweet tea, pure bliss!
If you haven't been here you should try it out I'm know you will go back for years to come like my family and i do!
Great Restaurant. Great restaurant with great prices they have meat with 2 sides to Philly cheese steak. Very cozy and cute restaurant very friendly staff.Plenty of fresh vegetables and if you like burgers try the Izzy burger it is fantastic
Isy bell's cafe. My husband and I went to eat at Isy Bell's Cafe. We had a wonderful experience, the food was great and the waitstaff was really friendly. The bar was great too, able to make any drind and watch anything on tv. I will gladly recommend Isy Bell's Cafe to anyone.
Wonderful staff and amazing service. Pleasant experience every time. A group of my friends and I come once a month from Charlotte to eat true home style food. Definatley worth the trip! We love it and keep coming back!
Exceptional place.. The food is superb, the service excellent and you don't have to worry about loud, annoying Mooresville cops staring at you while you try to eat. My compliments to the owner for a wonderful dining experience.
Friendly Place with Great Food. This place kind of reminds me of the line from the Cheer's theme song "...where everybody knows your name..."
Visited for the first time today and was very pleased with the food and the service. It was obvious from watching the wait staff and the customer's that this place has a cadre of regulars who have been coming for years. Our server was Margaret and she was a true profeesional who never let our coffee cups go dry nor did we have any wants or needs that went unanswered.
My wife had a Steak Sandwich which was cooked perfectly. She ordered fried okra but due to delivery problems the day after Thanksgiving, they were out. The fried squash she substituted were excellent. I had a cheese burger they call a Humdinger with fries. Fries were excellent and some of the best I had on the lake. The burger was hugh. A full 1/2 pound of beef, topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, mushrooms and sauted onions and finally garnes with lettuce and tomatoes with pickleson the side. It was so large, I had trouble getting my big mouth around it.
Place from the appearance looks like a kind of cross between a diner and a small family restaurant. Nothing fancy but clean and neat. The daily specials are posted on one of the biggest menu boards I have every seen. The restaurant has a local reputation for using fresh locally grown produce and it shows.
Little off of the beaten path even though it's on Main Street in Mooresville, it's all the way up on the North End just as you're actually leaving town. Actually it would be more accurate to describe it on the edge of Mooresville. Bottom line, you may have to look for it but at the same time, it's worth it.
We'll definately be back and now have an additoinal place to take our out of town guests when they come through.
Hometown favorite. The food is just what the doctor ordered... Fresh entrees paired with a blackboard's worth of a dizzying array of veggie choices. Desserts, too, are homemade (not any of that frozen sysco stuff). Friendly atmosphere.... One of our favorites going back 12years....
A large menu and good food. Away from the main drag, so out-of-towners will need to Google directions.
First time here and what a winner this was! The pic is AFTER I ate! Pimento Cheeseburger...it was so good! Husband had the Humdinger and he loved it. The place is really pretty inside and the service was excellent. For the money $10.50 for each including 1 side...you cannot beat it. Beware...this burger is bigger than you think. Be very hungry or get a to go box! You won't regret coming here.
Amazing Gem! This was my first visit but definitely won’t be my last. Not only was the food good but the atmosphere was really nice. The restaurant was super clean and the staff was really friendly. My salad was so fresh! We ordered the Gyro platter liver and onions/Jumbalya and fried calamari and pickles were appetizers. Everything was delicious. large portions. Great presentation. Great flavors.
I had the fried calamari Greek salad and my husband had the Mahi Mahi tacos. Both dishes were delicious. My only negative is the restaurant has a very musty, mildew odor. They do have outside dining so my next visit I will eat outside or get take-out.
Decided to give this local "mom and pop" restaurant in downtown a try today and I'm so glad I did!! I believe my waitresses name was Alicia..very nice and quick. I came in for a quick lunch, ordered one of the lunch specials with a sweet tea...the philly cheese steak with fries! DELICIOUS!!!! The philly came with provolone cheese, onions, peppers and juicy thin sliced steak. I didn't even have to put any steak sauces on the sandwich.. Gotta stop by here if you in the downtown area and hungry!!
If you want to leave full this is your place! Home cooked food at its finest!
