I hesitate to write a great review because I'm concerned about the secret getting out. However, a great restaurant deserves to be known and recognized and thus -- I must gush for a paragraph or two.
This restaurant is fantastic! There, I said it. Hopefully, I won't regret it with the inevitable future of impossible-to-get tables when the secret is fully known. :-)
Chef David and the menu are spectacular (the Roasted Brussel Sprouts may be the greatest discovery of 2016 for us).
The servers and bartenders are wonderful. Cody is an absolute delight.
We've dined here several times, the most recent culinary experience being New Year's Eve. WOW. 24 hours later, we're still dreaming of the braised shortribs.
Darn... now I'm hungry and hankering to take a drive down to Montrose...
Great food! We had the grilled artichoke, short-rib quesadilla, and a beet salad, all were very tasty and served fast. Sat at the bar, which was very clean and beautifully designed. The whole restaurant is gorgeous and the employees were friendly and on top of their game! Overall fantastic experience. Desert and wine were yummy as well!! Love this place!
I've been searching for a place the makes go crab cakes and wasn't disappointed. Their tasty crab cakes were crisp on the outside and l tender on the inside. We also tried their edamame. I order a couple of sides as well. It was a nice last minute dinner.
Service was good. Thus 4 stars. Would go 3 stars if food only. Ordered a pizza and a salad. Their menu says 600⁰ oven pizza so I thought it would be decent. Crust was flavorless as was the sauce on the BBQ chicken pizza. The chicken was left in large cubes and sparsely populated it. The toppings in general were sparse for a pizza that that price. The salad greens were fresh but the grilled fruit which seemed like the an important item on the salad was sparse since it would have been fantastic with the delicious house made ricotta. I live in the neighborhood and if I was to dine there in the future, I likely would not order a summer salad or a pizza from them again. Those are pretty basic items to make well and I felt they missed the mark. Stick with other items.
Tonight was my first time here and it was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back when the opportunity comes up. I really wish I could take my dad here. The flavors, pairings, and presentation was wonderful.
I went to have dinner with a buddy of mine. We have gone many times and have had a great experience. The staff was great, Kathleen was our server, she was great. Bartender was great and the drink we had were good. Food wasn't as good as it usually is and we actually ended up taking 2 drinks to go and those were not good. So I give this place a 4 because majority of the night was good and I would definitely still come back. I know some restaurants like any other business has an off day/night.
Disclaimer here...my brother and SIL, Jim and Angela Collins, are the owners of Town. That said, it's a great place to eat. Comfortable atmosphere, wonderful service. For a light choice, try Angela's No Pasta pasta. If lamb is on the menu, get it. You will enjoy your meal, I'm sure of it!
Contemporary ambiance in old town Montrose with an interesting menu and delightful setting. Bar seating available. Affordable and comfortable.
One of my favorite spots in town, you can't go wrong with their food and the bar makes some wonderful cocktails. Visit if you get a chance and make reservations to be sure.
