Montclair House Grill

This a great diner and great service. We've only had take out for the past few months, but it is good well cooked food and I like the people. Tonight demands a special shout out. They forgot to include something ordered on our bag for pickup. They called to acknowledge the error, apologized, made a new one, and drove it over to the house at no cost. Truly above and beyond. I am grateful they took such good care of me.

The first time my family ordered from there it was great. Last night we ordered and didn't get the full order so we had to call back. (We didn't get charged for it and it was not even added to the order at least) but I also had shrimp scampi with a side of veggies. Im a little upset that I found out I paid $20 for just shrimp and veggies. There was not even pasta which was the reason I ordered the meal, I went and made my own to go with it. I wouldn't have been upset but almost $20 and I all that came was shrimp and veggies??? Theor food is good and I'm trying to just chalk it up to the time we called which was almost 8 if im not mistaken and maybe they were just really busy.

Burger was ok-not super tasty. I've had better burgers at bars. Shrimp Scampi noodles were overcooked. Everything was just ok. What a disappointment it was my daughters 18th Birthday and our special night out. There was no one in the restaurant when we came in at 6 pm, so we thought the longer service time was due to piping hot and fresh food. Not so much. Worst meal I have ever had in Montclair.
