Simply amazing, tacos were very good, we had to wait a little but it was so worth it. We ordered guacamole with chips and when we finished the chips they brought more. Closed it with "churros which were good too. You can bring your tequila and they sell the mix. Thumbs up for this place.

The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered three different tacos: The fried Chicken taco that is on a special menu, the Shrimp Taco and the Fish Taco. All three were great but the shrimp was my favorite! The restaurant is BYOB so make sure you bring your own Beer or wine. We had an accent bottle of tequila just for the ambiance just to add to the Mexican affect.

Excellent food!!! I’m obsessed with the shrimp tacos. The Esquite is delicious. Best guacamole and so creative with Brussels sprouts and bacon.
You definitely must try Villalobos. Not only is the food amazing, Adam and his staff are so attentive and welcoming.Great customer service.
I highly recommend Villalobos.

The food was good, I had the scallop tacos and the pork. The experience however was lacking, I asked for my tacos to be spicy and was told it couldn’t be spiced up more rather, a mango habanero sauce was offered and I said ok. The tacos took about 30 minutes and after my meal, I asked for the bill and surprisingly, there was a $2 charge for the sauce which I was never told there would be an extra charge. I gave a $50 bill, asked for change and my change was never given to me. Personally, I am a very good tipper but I never want to feel coerced or forced into it and I feel like I was in this situation. $50 for 4 tacos, guacamole and chips...another day in Montclair....

Decent eats, nice ambience, and BYOB
It's hard to judge BYOB places, especially when they're done up well - you get so much more wine/beer/whatever buck for your money that you're willing to overlook much, and when the ambience is good, well, you'll let the food slip quite a ways.
The thing is, the food here ain't bad. It ain't *great* either, but it certainly isn't bad (and some of it *is* good - the esquites and the guac are really a cut above. Then again, $6 for a taco...).
So there you have it - decent food, nice ambience, and BYOB. Can't ask for much more 😀

Good food and drinks with great service. The special tostada of the day was particularly fantastic, and the byob margarita was refreshing and sweet (had the pomegranate flavor). Tacos were good, all ingredients fresh, but I could have done with a bit more salt and spiciness.

Stopped in to grab some tacos with my boyfriend. I ordered the shrimp (absolutely awesome) and the scallop tacos (not so awesome). I loved the shrimp because the shrimp had a crisp to it that you could still taste and enjoy with the sauce and lettuce. It was bursting with flavor and each bite was a little party in my mouth.
The scallops tacos (the daily special) didn't have quite as much since it was just scallops and fried Brussel sprouts. I realized I don't really like Brussels sprouts and now understand those references of kids hating Brussels sprouts on TV. I get it now. I got it because I'm not eating meat aside from fish and seafood but I would not get it again and would only recommend it if you actually like Brussels sprouts.
I'd go back to this spot though. Definitely.
