What an excellent place to dine before a day of fishing off Montauk Point! Oyster's & Clams couln't be any fresher! And whatever the seared scallop dish was, off the charts! Been coming here for 30+ years.
Lady Grace VI Charters & Captain Mario Melito is the best fisherman on the Island!
Oh, YES! A terrific, local centric joint with great fresh-caught local seafood. Very creative salads, incredible raw clams (spring for a dozen], great scallops, chowder, delicious banana creme pie that is their specialty. The best meal we had in Suffolk County and also the least expensive. If they’re open the day you get there GO THERE.
Amazing seafood restaurant located in Montauk. Sarah was our server. Very friendly and personable. She answered all our questions and was very patient with us. My wife had the frogmore stew. I had the tilefish. We also had oysters and clams. If you like seafood this is one if not the best. I met Phil. He is one of the owners. . Also very nice.. another person we met was Tanner. He had a fresh catch of lobsters in a basket and let us hold a lobster. You need to go here. Highly recommend.
Stopped by this gem of dinner . Just Wow amazing.. everything was so fresh . Live music and fresh seafood is exactly the vibe you are goin for in Montauk .. highly recommended
Had the top deck to ourselves. Great music, great servers. We came for the delicious Fish Parmigiana and it did not disappointa. Had a few planes take off from the nearby airport and they went right over us which was pretty cool.
Excellent fresh fish and casual seaside atmosphere. If you've got a group, I recommend calling ahead for a reservation. It would save you a long wait time.
Perfect stop on holiday lunch in Montauk
The fried fish and clams casino were really good, but the clam chowder was actually the most disappointing part of the meal. We had the Buffalo blowfish and another fried fish (picture- forgot what fish). Buffalo sauce was actually pretty overwhelming but the both fishes were battered and fried really well. Very crispy and tasty. The buffalo fish has a long bone in the center though so just beware. The clams casino only came with 6 pieces but was very delicious, had strong garlic flavor, and crusted really well. I love new england clam chowder but it was fairly disappointing here. It had a strange aftertaste, like the kind you would find in low fat/sodium canned soups, and the soup was not very rich/creamy. Maybe my expectations were too high but it would've been disappointing even if this was served at a local cafeteria. The meal overall was great, but the chowder was disappointing.
As a lover of good food and a seeker of dining experiences, I've journeyed far and wide, from the bright lights of the city to the tranquil coastline, in pursuit of culinary delights. Last night, that quest led us to a restaurant in Montauk that turned out to be such a treat.
Our gastronomic adventure began with the restaurant's renowned New England chowder. The perfectly balanced texture and rich flavor of this dish had us hook, line, and sinker from the first spoonful. Next came the fried scallops, crispy on the outside, succulent on the inside, and paired with a dipping sauce so delightful that we were tempted to request a second portion.
Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were presented with the fish parmigiana, a testament to the magic that can be spun with simple ingredients. Laden with luscious marinara sauce and melt-in-your-mouth cheese, it took the notion of comfort food to another level.
Another crown jewel was undoubtedly the tilefish entree. Each bite brought a crescendo of flavor that eclipsed the previous dish, leaving us in a state of awe and contentment.
Then came the grand finale: Eileen's famous banana pie. This isn't just a dessert; it's an experience - a tantalizing combination of subtle refreshing sweet flavors that made us feel like we'd discovered a little slice of heaven. This original recipe is a testament to Eileen's culinary prowess, ensuring we ended our meal on an undeniably high note.
As I sit here today, the memories of our meal still linger. The flavors, the low key yet homey ambiance, and the excellent service have left an indelible impression on us. .
In the end, it was more than just one of the best unpretentious meals we've had Out East. We can't wait to return, if only to relive this tantalizing gastronomic adventure!
