Denny's

This location was clean and fast service. ( You choose where to sit.) Jordan received us as we waited to be served. turned us over to a smiling Carla our waitress who in all sense of the word, is amazing, courteous, very resourceful, accommodating, she truly loves her job. She apologized a few times for not having the pot roast sandwich that I wanted and a few other things. Kept her friendly composure, even with the issues on hand. She sure made us feel as we were the only ones in the restaurant. The kitchen staff also did a fantastic job with our meal just a slight over frying of my pancake balls covered in cinnamon and sugar.

When I arrived, a lady gave me my table. After 15 minutes of waiting, the waitress came over only to tell me the cook had just leave.. If I ordered my food, it would take 45 minutes to 1 hour. ..good for the cook who left, because if they treat clients that way, I don't want to think about how they would treat the crew

We ordered online for pickup, and got an 18-25 minute wait time. We arrived on time, and when my fiancee went in they told her they were a little behind due to sick calls, but the food would be ready soon. Half an hour later we had no food. Upset, I went in to request a refund so we could leave, found out they just got the order in that moment and had lied to my fiancee (showed me the ticket). Through a heated exchange they told me that they couldn't give me a refund, that only the manager could authorize one, that she'd been in earlier and left, revealed that they'd been instructed to call the cops if I didn't leave. Once they gathered I wasn't a pickup service and was the customer who paid, they offered to take down my information so they could have the manager refund me later. I gave my info and left. I'll never say a positive word about a restaurant that lies to its customers and threatens to call the police over a refund dispute. Never go to this Denny's. Edit: Denny's online has refunded the meal in full and I have adjusted the stars from 1 to 3. Still unhappy about being lied to, but we got our money back and only lost half an hour.

"I loved it", i.e. gave it 5 stars, as it compares to other Denny's and my experiences with this chain of restaurants. It was a great experience, as far as a Denny's goes.. If it's almost midnight, and your only options for made-to-order*, hot food, within a 10+ mile radius is Taco Bell or Denny's, and your budget is at least $20 per person/meal.. Then the Monroe Denny's is the way to go! I stopped through just to order take out one late Saturday evening, and received excellent and prompt service--I was on the road again in under 15 minutes and already had my milkshake in hand while waiting for my food. Furthermore, the meal, chicken fried steak breakfast, was totally on point.. Everything was as it was intended to be, however, the plastic-ware was neglected to be included. I don't eat particularly large meals, so was able to split this meal with one other like-appetited person, making the higher ticket price more reasonable for me. This would not work if both parties have a healthy appetite. * "Made-to-order" description is being used generously here, as it is used with the assumption of including items which are reheated fresh, from previously frozen, mass produced, machine processed foods; which more than likely represents the majority of Denny's menu. This was by far the worst breakfast we have ever had. First I asked for a side of gravy for my very bad looking hash brown, waitress checked with cook and returned, sorry no gravy. Second I asked for hollandaise sauce waitress returned saying, sorry no hollandaise. Third our toast was burnt and hard has rock with no butter. Their menu shows many dishes with both. This experience was unbelievable. All we could do is laugh. We will never ever go back.

Came here for breakfast because it was one of the only places that was open on the way to our destination. From the outside, it looks like a Wendy’s Drive-thru that was turned into a Denny’s. We weren’t greeted when we came in, which is okay, but we stood by the door for almost 10min before we saw an employee. The host was standing at the other end of the restaurant and called for us to come and sit. He was really nice, but interesting professionalism. All of the tables have job applications on them. We were seated before everyone that was seated around us and we got our food last (it was only my partner and I at our table). I ordered the classic eggs Benedict and I couldn’t finish it. It tasted really cheesey and artificial. I couldn’t even find any nutrition facts or ingredients listed online so I’m pretty sure this sauce came out of a bag. Definitely not worth the $40 bill for the two of us. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, especially when things are so hard on everyone. But this was an incredibly sub-par experience. I hope they can brighten up the place and improve some of their practices to make the restaurant more inviting.
