I must say, it has been a therapeutic experience working at Cougar Canyon. Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, was my 30th birthday. I haven't celebrated my birthday in almost a decade as half of my family doesn't act like family. Unbeknownst to me, Rick had coordinated an entire production (while on vacation) to include gifts, a wonderful card, and the best chocolate cake I've ever had in my life. Rick, Zach and Doug are an absolute joy to work with. It is an honor and a pleasure to be here.
Nice little out of the way place hidden in a canyon with beautiful scenery. We've ridden here just to have drinks and hang out. Just about an hour out of Great Falls, with friendly staff and locals, you'll feel welcome.

Woman's bathroom needs a little TLC broken soap dispenser and sink with no water. But great service, fast no frills dining. Enjoyed it. Glad they are open. Update: Glad things got fixed- Thanks. Will be stopping in again hopefully before Christmas. You guys Rock!
This place is a breath of fresh air!! It’s nestled on a beautiful mountain pass and when we went inside the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered walleye and it was off the charts delicious! The presentation makes you feel like you’re in a big city restaurant. I’ll take this any day!! The servers are so friendly and the food was hot and came to us quickly. We stayed at the lodge and the rooms were clean, fresh and new, and comfy beds!
The pool has a bucking bull pool float that is pretty impossible to conquer. Believe me we tried!! An overall great place for a little getaway!
Great example of a Montana bar! The environment itself was welcoming and had charm ice only seen in Montana. The local is amazing, with some of the best views a bar could have.
Food was good, and portion size was fitting for price. Drinks were also well priced. If anything, drinks were cheap and well mixed.
The staff is some of the friendliest, too! Adam was the bartender the night I went, and the man is a gem. He was all over the place helping people, getting drinks to the band, talking orders for food...and he had a smile on his face the entire time.
Can't wait to go back!
The staff here are so friendly and welcoming and can make anyone feel at ease. The Bloody Mary is a must. James, Rick, Zach and Rick will do whatever they can to get you what you want! This place has an honest/real/local Montana vibe that Is hard to come by these days. Love this place. Love the people.
My family and I are always treated well and the food is delicious. My favorite meal is the sirloin steak! We order for pick up almost weekly and it’s fast and fresh. Stop in and check it out! Karaoke on Saturday night is a lot of fun.
