Hog Wild

A longtime fan of Hog Wild, I have had many delicious meals and excellent service there. My favorites are the burnt ends and also the pork belly (an occasional special), but I can honestly say that everything I have gotten here has been generous and delicious. We are fortunate to have them in our community.

Ordered over the phone close to closing and my wife hurried to pick it up. Made it there with plenty of time to spare. When given the total it sounded off and we thought they may have the wrong order. Quickly realized we were looking at the pdf menu that we downloaded from the Hog Wild Express in Mokena. When compared to the prices on the website it became obvious the pdf is out of date. My wife told the gentleman at the window where she was met with an extra large order of attitude. We use to love going here and my wife was just pointing out the discrepancy. Food was good except for the stale bread. Seemed like it had been around for a while. They lose one star fir the bread and two for the attitude. That's no way to treat a lady.

I would have posted pics but I ate all the food. Saw the negative reviews but I’ve been to the Midlo location and tried a lot of items. I went with the classic grilled chicken here and wasn’t disappointed. Was cooked and full of flavor . Oven browns were also cooked well. Just wish there was the different sauces out like before. Will be back for sure.

This time I had the Ribeye steak sandwich. It was done to perfection just as I had asked for it. It was prepared to order right in front of me. I did take it apart so you can see the picture and it tastes as good as it looks. Of course this is my opinion and it's worth exactly what you paid for it I like locally owned establishments. I prefer to go to them and exploit how good they really are or how good they aren't. Thank you for looking at my opinion and my review. This location is clean and wide open. Head has plenty of space for handicap and children and whatever else you may encounter in your travels. There are a wide variety of drinks and beverages as well as snacks to grab along the way. You can pretty much do a one stop as there is Gasoline and diesel and even a car wash all-in-one place. This is a concept that is useful for killing many different needs at one time.

We ordered pulled pork, pork chops, and Mac and cheese for Father's Day and it was a huge hit. The process to place the order was really easy, and the staff were great with helping us decide how much we needed of each based on the number of people. The food was ready exactly as the designated time and it was hot and fresh. The portion was perfect and we still had enough for leftovers. Will definitely order again in the future! The food was delicious and the pork chops were so tender!
