Great place for comfort food. You're not going to find anything exceptionally fancy here, but what you will find is some delicious and thoughtfully prepared comfort food and some of the friendliest service on earth.
The soup of the day was knoepfla, which was some of the best stuff I've had from a restaurant in a long time. The dumplings were well cooked without being gummy, the base was well seasoned - seriously, I would've brought this home with me in a giant bucket if I could. The Great Plains burger was solid, if not exceptional - the patty was hand-formed and well seasoned if a tad bit overcooked.
Dessert made up for it though. The pies are exceptional. Among our party of four we shared blueberry, apple, and coconut cream. All were amazing (they're apparently made by the mother of our exceedingly delightful server), but the coconut cream was definitely the standout.
And to boot, you're going to get some of the genuinely nicest service you could ever find. On a nearly-dead Sunday afternoon in Mobridge, this place was packed. Trust the locals on this one and stop in.
The biscuits and gravy are excellent,the eggs were made to order and the hash browns were exceptional I would definitely recommend this restaurant
Very good food, very friendly staff and some really good home made wheat toast! Definitely will be revisiting. Something was strange about their coffee though.
A wonderful restaurant!! Great food and great people. Homemade soup, pie...well really everything on the menu is homemade and delicious! The new location is beautiful with a view of Lake Oahe. Margie, Johnny, Rhoda, Judy, Nina, and the rest of the staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
Fresh and good. Even 5 mins before closing.

Everything omelet was absolutely delicious
We had an amazing meal with even better company!!! We also purchased jellies and homemade sauerkraut!! Will definitely stop again!
