Wanted to eat there but was told they were doing take out only. There wasn't anyone eating there and there were at least 3 people working. They were all sitting playing with their phones when we drove up. I understand being short handed but it seemed like they just didn't want customers. A month or so ago I ate there and they were only taking cash. When I paid the girl did the math on her calculator and never rang it up on register. I'm not accusing her of stealing but it seemed shady. Don't think I'll be returning to this Waffle house.

Breakfast at Waffle House is affordable and filling. The service was quick, the dining area clean and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Nothing fancy, but the food is good.

Always liked Waffle house but one on Hillcrest was filthy last time I was there. Food and water all over the floor and trash overflowing.
Not too good to look at while eating. Will trya a different location next time.

From a frequent guest to the Waffle House at Hillcrest and Grelot in Mobile, AL... The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Overall it is always a good experience there -> EXCEPT IT APPEARS the cook staff cannot keep their pants pulled up to their waist line instead of hanging below their butts with their underwear exposed. It is an unsanitary situation, with cooks who cannot pass the 3 year old diaper test. This location cannot seem to get this problem solved even after repeated comments to local and regional management. This kind of defiance and personal hygiene practice from employees must be an acceptable standard of behavior at THIS Waffle House, because I don't see it at other Waffle House restaurants.

Went there at 2:30 in the morning after getting off work. Call the supervisor the next day complaining about the lady that was waiting on me and her lack of customer service. The supervisor didn’t seem like she was even listening to me and my complaint, she said she would speak to her but I doubt if she did. There are so many restaurants in Mobile who are hurting for business, and are going out of business, you would think they would try to pay a bit more attention to their customers. Will not be going to this location ever again. We have been to this location before and I get service, I think it was just the employee he seem to be inconvenienced by me coming in. The cook was very helpful and taking my order, because she obviously did not care.
